Melbourne won't be playing most of their top 30 including Munster, Grant and Hughes so can pick up an easy big win there.

All the players not named in the top 17 can play in the NSW Cup trials.

Allows Gus to build combinations with his team, get some winning confidence into round 1 and win some silverware.
