Seems to fit the new culture we’re trying to build of hard working and that play for the badge mentality. Seen him play a few times he runs hard good offload too impressed with his leg speed. If him and Todd can come in around the same time that would be massive.

Two Blues junior so not quite a local lol but he'll be back close to family. He went to Canberra at 17 so time to come back to Sydney.

Looks like a hard runner with a bit of pace if he busts the line. Also noticed he's present in support play.

But like about 800-900 players people have identified as upgrades, chances of him being released would be slim. It'd probably require a lot of smooth talking from the club. But this'll probably be headline news tomorrow.

True, but can't buy much for $80k to $195k max Supplementary contract. Please check my arithmetic.
There is a minimum for a player on a Supplementary Contract but there is no maximum, the limit is fitting within the Cap.

My maximum amount of $195k is what is left from the $650k Supplementary cap. 6 players x $80k min plus Morrin, Poasa & Hayward $3k/game bonus
subtract approx $40k for Edwards release.

Some money in the development cap has to be kept spare in case a player outside the top 36 plays 3 NRL games they get auto pushed up to a dev deal an example be Harry Hayes had he played last week and played another 3 games. Or BBO if he gets 3 games after round 11.

This is why a lot of clubs if they can avoid it only use their non top 36 players for 2 games to keep cap space free.

The only way I can see this happening is Mooneys Manager approaching the dogs like how Sextons manager approached the dogs. If there's no movement by the manager then Mooney needs a new manager. The dogs should be buying Mooney and Thomas Mikaele for the remaining of 2024 and 2025. Its a no brainer. Potalo and knight arent going to make a dent in attack. We're lacking in the front row so this needs be actioned as soon as possible not wait on juniors to come through because we're years away with that.

Think this is a BS rumour but Raiders to have a surplus of big boys surely Gus can get 1. Guler is toiling away in reggies while he’s not top shelf he’s still a lot better than what we have on our bench
