He should be made to sit out the term of his contract, whether it be one year or two, before being allowed to go and join uncle Wayne at the fins. Its all good and well to declare he wants to go boxing and cut his contract short but leaves a hole in our squad because there isnt that much talent off contract to replace him with unfortunately. Blind freddy could see he just wanted out of the dogs, but there must be some sort of compensation for this sort of shit fight.

If he decides to go dolphins next year, irrespective we let him go out of his contract. We should then use this for every contract a player wants to leave a club and come to us as proof of double standards and sue nrl if we ever are on the other side of the shoe

I mean TPJ was just going to bum around as he has the whole time if he stayed. If he starts showing consistency perma ban the guy who makes a thread about him in advance thank you.

If he goes to Dolphins it’s still a win for us. They won’t pay him any more than $500k.

We would have had to chip in $250k if he didn’t leave

If that's a direct quote, that effects the Bulldogs club and teams reputation. Even if he doesn't sign.

NRL needs to come down very hard on this if it were to happen as they risk creating a massive problem for themselves and the code.

For example if he doesn’t retire and the terms of his exit from the Dogs changes, is he made to sit out, or do the Dogs not have to include 250k of cap space for him in 2024.

Guess it comes down to the terms of the exit. We may not be able to get the 250k back but if he’s at the Dolphins next year, why should we have to include the 250k in our cap. We should get an exemption for it.

More to the point if was the plan then we should of got something out of the dolphins. Regardless he’s overpaid for us he would still be our top 3 forwards in current squad and an asset next year even if half assed till we recruit someone of quality.

Do you take Pangai half assed for a season or Fucking the dolphin spud who can’t crack it and the other 5 discards we linked too?

Deadset.

Plus transfer fee or some form of remuneration, Bulldogs had plans for him or could've used him as leverage for a possible player swap for example.

Don't forget the value some scorched players seem to have in sport, a lot times they score or have the game of their lives coming back to the team "that let the player go". Bennet will have him raring to go against us. Deep down we know our crowd can get him off his game and have had on other players previously but that's not a guarantee.
