First of all he was in the Storm system and if not for moving to the Bulldgos two years ago, would have played for the Storm last year on the wing.

There's nothing wrong with his ability. Look at his highlights from last year, the ability is there. His defence is strong, positioning is strong and is incredibly consistent.

At the very worst he is good depth for a team.
No I'm being entirely serious. His height is a massive disadvantage and a wingers role isn't as expansive nor as skilled centred as other positions. He doesn't hold a candle to most of the wingers in the competition and there are plenty I'd take over Thompson

He has football smarts and great positioning but he isn't athletic nor are his physical attributes adequate as a FG winger.

At very best he is good depth. He has costed us games when he hasn't played at his best and when he plays at his best he isn't even remotely close to a game breaker. He's no loss if he goes. We need another Rona on his wing. He's just a better version of Perrett
