these personal experiences have got me thinking...
1. being beaten out on a uni spot to be an oral hygienist, getting SOO SOOOOO upset about it... but a couple years down the track, im on par with earning the same amount as one, but less responsibility and have similar roles... only diff is, i saved myself 3 years of uni.
2. having a problem which forced me to see a dr, only to find out that i have a problem elsewhere, which i would not have known about.. my eye.. if i had skydived 3 weeks later, which we had planned, i would be blind in that eye right now


and so on and so forth

Like in footy you have to make your own luck, you need to beg borrow and steal your way to the top because if you don't, the next person will, so if you wan't a Uni spot, you have to make it happen, no prizes for second.
In other things some might say bad luck or tough apples, it don't count if its a deliberate dog act, cheap shots will be defeated by brave hearts.
