Something that would always confuse me when I was in my late teens/early 20s working part time jobs while studying was older people who said that they couldn’t wait to pay off their home loans to quit the job because they hated it.

Right… because all of life’s expenses end with the mortgage, don’t worry about food, utilities and everything else, they’ll just conveniently be there for you, free of charge :tonguewink:
 
I don't know who is worse the bank or microsoft, first tried contacting microsoft to close my account as they were taking double the amount per month they have no way of contacting them so contacted my bank how many billions do they make per year and their fucking useless could hardly understand the person on the phone had to keep repeating myself and even after that still have to wait 10 days while they look into it, here's an idea put a block where the direct debts are so you can block the company trying to withdraw funds it wouldn't be hard to do!!

Microsoft… what kind of on-going service do you have with them that requires expensive frequent payments??

With the bank (or any overseas call centre I get transferred to) if I can’t understand what the blue hell they’re saying, I just hang up and ring back), thankfully I don’t need to speak to overseas call centres that often.

Most of the time it’s those Indian virus scammers who I toy with a fair bit before revealing to them I’m a cyber security expert which causes them to shit their pants and hang up.

There's usually a hard to find cancel subscription page. I typically cancel the subscription there and take a screenshot of the page after confirmation I've cancelled, email their customer service centre with an attached screenshot and get them.to confirm that I've cancelled the subscription. If I don't email them they generally don't stop taking the money.

I have gone into the bank and asked them to block direct debits before and also had them tell me they can't. They absolutely can. Your other option is to attach a second account to your main one and transfer everything into it.
 
Family members who were sick with a virus and say they are better, only to come over to watch the game and make you sick the following day.

This is not my conspiracy and cant take responsibility for the whole shebang but I did say 2025 was going to be different and I owe it to myself to change things.

Thanks for the encouragement, been a bit upset our national sport has been targeted at all by the gutter tactics, takes the shine off the product and complexes the shit outta me.
 
I'm so fucking angry it's not funny, I've been with my partner for 15 years and it looks like another mothers day her fucktard kids won't visit for that day, she raised them by herself and this is the appreciation they show her, I fucking hate them *****, she is the most caring kind unselfish person I have ever known and her **** kids do this to her every year, if they ever knock on this door they will be told to fuck off.
Funny thing is if I say anything bad about them I'm the worst **** ever and she replies I know you hate them, surely this must hurt her them not visiting and yes they are her kids but some people whether it be friends or family need to be told some home truth's, so looking forward to seeing them again then I'll let fly, eventually I will get that opportunity!!
 
Why do concerts mid-week start so late?

Going to the Offspring on Thursday, and they apparently won't come on until almost 9:30pm. Probably wouldn't be an issue if the Brisbane Entertainment Centre wasn't in a swamp in the middle of fucking nowhere, where a train a KM away runs every half hour.

Looking at getting into bed about 1am FFS. It's not like us Gen Xers don't have businesses to run, or kids to attend to...
 
I'm just thinking back to the earliest years when I played console games. It was a magical time bringing a new game into the house, plugging in the cartridge and playing the game right at that moment. Over time I've witnessed the change from that instant gratification to a system where all you get in a cd now is an install code and the chance to wait for hours to download games.

I'm not a patient person. Only 152/155gb of download left before this puppy is ready to roll.

Just about to mow the lawns, get everything out, fire up the mower and brush cutter and edger, and then run out of fuel and the jerry can is dry..
 
Mobile phones out at meal time is one thing.. I can deal with that, but how annoying are people who don't put it on silent? Nobody wants to listen to your phone going off every 30 seconds at dinner time.
