Pearce has signed a two year deal with Catalans effective immediately. Newcastle will be in the market for another half or two.. Brooks or Norman are most likely at this stage. Hopefully they for some reason show interest in The Flamingo as a cheap option if Brooks doesn't work out..

Makes sense that Pearce is bailing on the Knits. He was involved in two very embarrassing actions while there, and you could tell he wanted to leave earlier, but didn't because otherwise it would have made his embarrassment really obvious.

Oh, for anyone wondering. Action 1 was what he did to stuff up his wedding plans, and Action 2 was pushing hard for the Knits to get Klemmer, which has resulted in them being stuck with a whinging bench prop on way too much money. How embarrassment!

Can you imagine a full bogan like Pearce in the south of France? Its Craig Gower 2.0 .
In 2006 I went to the Tri Nations final in Leeds where we got done 26-0 or something similar by New Zealand. With Leeds being an amazingly fun party city I was out all hours and ran into the Kangaroos in several places.

The biggest take outs from the night:
- Mark Gasnier was an absolute legend - even if over a beer he said there was zero chance he would ever consider signing for the Dogs at any time
- At the last nightclub half the team were there all on pingers - Ben Creagh had a lot of best friends that night
- Craig Gower suffered from small man syndrome - he was dressed in his grandpa's oldest striped polo shirt that was 3 sizes too big and he also wore some cream pants that were 4 sizes too big. Needless to say he had no takers that night but the bogan flag was flying high.

Happy for Pearce. I’ve always liked him as a player. To come through as juniors son, all that pressure. I think he’s had a great career.

Knights will probably revisit running Ponga in the halves, which would be good news for any team playing them, coz hes not close to as good in the halves as he is at fullback.

Agreed. Just another turnstile in defence, unless he had a gun back rower defending inside him.

He's not even very good at fullback.

Always a Bulldog
