Its quite obvious, the team has been drilled and structured into a couple of set plays ONLY. There are no plan B's or C's if Plan A does not work out.

I for one was angered by people bagging out KK. I still believe he is far better than Hodko for the current position, and there is no-one currently better for the number 7 in the squad.

The problem is our current structure really does not require a traditional halfback, even if you had J.T or Cronk they would be useless under our current structure.

As teams have copied Melbournes game plan against us from last years GF, this is where we need Plan B's & C's, or in other words VARIETY! This is where we need a Tradional Halfback to add that variety and the guess work in the opposition minds, unfortunately KK isnt that type of player (though he would be definately be a great utility player), I could see him add alot of spark out of dummy half (giving Ennis a break) with his darts as well as his long kicking game, with enough practice he could be very effective with his kicking game out of dummy half like Farah and Smith, especially giving that unpredictability from left-footed kickers.

Our style of play last season was brilliant, this year is nowhere near last years, even when Kas and Bupa come back it wont be as effective because you have Williams standing in the line like The Statue Of Liberty.

Having Williams starting the games and playing the full 80 his impact is non-existant, it is like being a man down......It is so difficult to watch, its only a matter of time before I need to start colouring my hair.

Williams has had the whole off-season and these 6 rounds to Gel into the team. He hasn't but the most dissapointing aspect is he has not shown any improvement, heart or team spirit

Hasler did it coming in as a new coach and James Graham did it coming from the UK, and they would of had a more difficult time adapting

"Our style of play last season was brilliant, this year is nowhere near last years, even when Kas and Bupa come back it wont be as effective because you have Williams standing in the line like The Statue Of Liberty."

LMAO - --> then I realised it was true. :(

All i can say is that i turned the game off in the last 10 minutes on Friday. I have not done that since 2008. Something has to change.

All fair comments but Hasler's mind is on ASADA. I hope I'm wrong but I'm certain his focus is elsewhere
good posting. Among other things that Mr Invisible the Hun won't 'allow' on an internet forum.

Posting like that is described as "unsubstantiated" or "unfounded" and perpetrated by an individual who is nowhere near to what is actually occuring, Both media and the common person have nothing factual in an ongoing investigation like this. With the laws we have we are not entitled to either, until after all has concluded, even then we are still not privy to all the information.

It wouldn't have mattered who was playign half back. We weren't going forward, which meant he wasn't able to kick on the run ever, we always had to setup for a kick which is generally much harder.

They are all full of themsleves. Their heads are too big for their own boots and barba isnt the only one in lala land. Believed their own hype pre season and didnt put in the hard work hence looking tired and fatigued after 10-15 mins each game.

ps the comment above does not apply to mr tolman period.

I think we have to accept that the team, with the current players, is not top 4 material. Apart from the Eels every other team we have played is top 4 capable. although the Cowboys look a little wobbly. We have missing 1st team players in quite a few positions and our replacements just haven't made the grade.

Hoddo, Lafai, Tapau, Klemmer, Low, Browne (winger) are not up to NRL first quality standard. With the current squad we may beat some of the crappier teams but none of the good ones. The question is can we stay in the competition till the cavalry arrives. I am sorry to say, I don't think so. i would be chuffed if I am wrong but I don't even see us making the 8 at this stage. Still a Dogs supporter and will watch and cheer but its not the refs fault. Its not Gould's fault either. We just don't have the players to win at the moment and won't for a while and front rowers take a while to play themselves in.

I think tapau has to go hes ordinary not up to 1st grade his dropped balls has led to tries ,until kas comes back beastwood to prop to give us some energy up front ,finucane to lock ,trex to bench frank to start ,it all starts with the forwards for our backs to have a chance

its early days. we miss the go forward up front. Kas and Graham put fear and uncertainty into the defence line.

The souths vs storm game was a real quality game big differences is hard running forwards ,great kick chase ,nice chip kicks behind line ,just basics 101 also we seem so flat compared to other teams
