Hahhaha wow
You were talking about heading in right direction…
United 3rd to 2nd
Liverpool 1st to 3rd

And that’s your reply hahahha
Atleast the other boys post decent replies with a tiny bit of brain cell used forest ……

Could be worst reply I’ve ever seen….

3rd has a trophy from a few years ago
That’s the best you could come up with, really……

Hahhahahahah on my…
you have to go back to the early 1980's for the last time the Red Devils went 4 years without a trophy... you are not headed in the right direction

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is clearly an inferior manager to that of the top tier coaches in the EPL --> Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel, Ancelotti and Bielsa

since the Glazer takeover, Manchester United has gone from debt free to in debt in excess of £500 million and seriously leveraged as the Glazers rightfully saw the club as a great cash cow to enrich their family... and although the club has continued to spend a lot of money in the transfer market (unwisely) and on wages (Phil f*+#ing Jones is on £80K+ per week and NEVER plays), it is noticeable that there has been little to no investment by the Glazers in the club infrastructure (stadium, training ground etc.) to the point that the Old Trafford roof leaks

and all the while, Man U's rivals have been making such investments with Arsenal moving into the Emirates Stadium, Tottenham moving into a new stadium too, Liverpool adding a new stand with another planned for Anfield, Man City moving into and renovating the City of Manchester Stadium and developing the Campus training centre based on AC Milan's training ground etc... Chelsea's plans to renovate Stamford Bridge have stalled due to some archaic local government building code and the pandemic but the plans are there... West Ham renovated and moved into the London Olympic Stadium... hell, even Everton will be leaving Goodison after 130+ years into a state of the art stadium at docks region of Liverpool

Manchester United is moving in the wrong direction

in the last 5 seasons, the second placed team in the EPL has finished with 86 points (Tottenham in 2016/17), 81 points (Manchester United in 2017/18), 97 points (Liverpool in 2018/19), 81 points (Manchester City in 2019/20), and 74 points this season by Manchester United

I think it fair to say that this season's second place finish by Man U was the least impressive in recent memory and likely at least partially due to the condensed season due to the pandemic, Chelsea's fractured season with Frank Lampard sacked and Liverpool's injury crisis

Manchester United is not moving in the right direction

over the last 10 years, Manchester United have a net transfer expenditure of €944 million which far exceeds that of Chelsea who spent £498 million and Liverpool who spent £338 million and yet, both Liverpool and Chelsea have been considerably more successful over that period

Manchester United's expenditure also doubled that of Arsenal and yet they were similarly successful as Man U winning 4 major trophies, too

only Manchester City spent more than Man U in England over the last decade but in comparison have won 12 major trophies to United's 4, including 5 EPL titles to United's one being Fergie's last

United allowed themselves to be run by non-footballing people like Ed Woodward and hence, the poor return on the billion Euros spent on a football squad swept out of the Champions League by PSG and RB Leipzig (including that ridiculous goal conceded in Istanbul vs Basaksehir) and then being unable to beat Villareal in the final of Europe's secondary club competition

Interesting stats you bring up.

Have always said that this was the biggest chance for United to see to stake a claim to true title challengers. As you said, Liverpool and Chelsea had massive problems. The whole pandemic really levelled the playing field.

Was actually pretty impressed with United's form for large parts of the year. Kept getting results. Had a really really good collective attitude.

But faltered when it mattered most. Knocked out of CL in group stages. Couldn't get past semi finals in domestic comps. Lost a final they had every right to win.

Also your points about off the field are very interesting. Stadiums etc with rivals getting bigger and United being stagnant. They've always had a massive advantage over others because of their match day receipts but clubs like Liverpool are catching up.

Personally think having Ole is a disadvantage also. They should go all out to get someone like Zidane who'll bring some prestige back to the club and a better mentality.

City will buy a striker. As probably will Chelsea and other teams. Tuchel with a proper preseason will elevate Chelsea in a massive way. Two proper managers there. Klopp will bring in fresh faces and surely won't have the same injury problems. These three are going to get a lot better.

United? To get to that level they need 4-5 players of top quality. GK, CB, DM, ST and wide attacker. With their form in the transfer market and having to pay overs ... I wouldn't have belief they can turn it around

Thanks mate, you may want to check the last several pages where this has been discussed.

You might also want to read up on why United supporters were protesting and had an EPL game cancelled. Might also want to see what fan power is achieving with Joe Glazer. Just saying, go to the source to get actual info.

3. Excuses only apply to them, no other clubs ever get injuries or harsh decisions against them etc
Like fucking clockwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't discuss a topic without getting tribal? He's brought up very valid points which no one is answering.

Anytime anyone challenges United you get tribal and bring up Liverpool. Why?

He made good points and I'm interested in your views on them. Yes, your fans are trying to do something about your owners but how is that going to improve your position?

You've got no clue.

Valid points that HAVE ALREADY BEEN COVERED IN THE PAST PAGES are brought up. Great, why are we re-hashing with trolls?

Your hypocrisy is brought up. United got ahead because of "weak competition", this is the excuse you're making, meanwhile you're being completely ignorant that Chelsea spent $250 million (the last transfer window) hence re-vamped their whole team/squad from 2019/2020 and City had an injury crisis in 2019/2020, which finally allowed Liverpool to equal Leicester City in EPL titles. But yet it's only United who are lucky the rest of the field are weak.

Mate, I'm growing tired of it.

They're piss poor trolling attempts and even if they were looking for legitimate discussions, they're completely oblivious as to how their club is more affected by those issues, and then they conveniently leave out bits and pieces of vital information which shows United are doing things about it.

Meanwhile Klopp is relying on Madrid or PSG breaking the bank to sign Salah and they've signed Konate who played 8 games in 2019/2020 and only 14 games in 2020/21 and somehow miraculously they've got a steady partner for VVD and not another injury prone player.

Where's the excuse? Just stating facts.

Chelsea sacked their manager. Shows they were playing shit. And not up to standard no matter how much they spent.

Liverpool had injuries. Which we did. A lot more than normal and any other team.

Not even talking about other clubs, pandemic and all of that.

Not sure why you're trying to argue against these two things? Clear as day that it's true.

Why can't you lot discuss United to like big boys instead of getting defensive and throwing insults out left, right and centre.

Every man and his dog know it was a weakened league. A season like no other.

Personally I'd be a tad worried that you didn't leave a mark at all, but obviously you're ok with that I guess?
