Could have used Hernandez for this match, had a knack of scoring against Aston Villa

And if I remember correctly, he spearheaded a dramatic comeback in the 2012/13 season when we came back from 2 goals down to win 3-2?

Falcao scores the equaliser!

LO LO LO LO LOOOOO, RADAMEL FALCAO, LO LO LO LO LO, LO LO LO LO, RADAMEL FALCAO

You can tell Falcao thoroughly enjoyed that goal, hope it does his confidence a world of good and he can kick on to grab plenty of goals for us in the future

Falcao left his mark at Villa Park (unintentional rhyme)

van Persie OFF
Di Maria ON

Woo, an injection of pace and trickery from Di Maria who makes his return from injury after 3 weeks on the sidelines

Agbonlahor given a straight red for a challenge on Young

Aston Villa down to 10 men, we have the advantage now to go on and get all 3 points

Rooney still playing in the midfield with Di Maria being a direct replacement for van Persie up front

Di Maria is playing that 'Robben' role that LvG had Robben playing in the World Cup

Oh so close from getting the go ahead goal

Aston Villa supporters are real pricks, they kept a ball in the crowd then threw it back onto the field as Carrick sent in the header to have 2 balls on the field

Pretty sure Aston Villa will be happy to settle for a point, expecting them to throw everybody behind the ball when we have possession

10mins left to play, need to try and find a go ahead goal

Young needs to really improve his final ball, his crosses don't consistently find its intended target or it finds the goalkeeper

1min 30secs to go, doesn't seem likely either side will find a winner

Full Time: Aston Villa 1 - Manchester United 1

Disappointed with the draw, Aston Villa had a player sent off in the 65th min and we couldn't capatalise, 2 points dropped

Winning streak ends at 6, definitely played better of the two sides and our defense was solid, not many scoring opportunities for Villa other then the spectacular curler from Benteke

Falcao with a equaliser, hope it gives him added confidence to go on and grab plenty more goals in the future

We need to further strengthen the midfield in January, Fletcher is no longer good enough to start matches or even come off the bench to try and impact a match

What's the go with bale??
The same as every other player being linked to Manchester United, just rumours which have been created by the media plus Guillem Balague (who happened to break the Di Maria and Falcao story) has already rubbished the Bale rumours

Plus it doesn't make any sense for Bale to leave Real Madrid while they're basically the best club in the world at the moment and will continue to win trophies for the foreseeable future, he's a guaranteed starter for Madrid and sells the club a lot of jerseys so as long as he's happy then Real Madrid have absolutely no reason to sell him

Nothing in January will happen with Bale, it's like expecting snow to fall in hell, any movement of Bale will happen in a summer transfer window and I can't see him leaving anytime soon as long as Florentino Pérez is happy with the Welshmen

Continuing in transfer news, a transfer for Strootman in January is also unlikely because although Roma are knocked out of the Champions League, Roma are still competing for the Serie A League title and add that with Strootman only recently returning from an ACL injury so he is nowhere near full fitness and it'll be a gamble much like Falcao but in this scenario Roma won't let us have him on a loan with a possibility of making the transfer permanent at the end of the season

Hummels is a possibility in January, recently slamming Borussia Dortmund after another disappointing performance, "It’s pretty astonishing that we are so pathetic" - keep in mind, Hummels is at the very heart of Borussia Dortmund's currently woes in defense and he isn't in great form himself so it'll be an expensive gamble for an injury prone player (we have too many injury prone defenders currently at the club, do we risk bringing in another (expensive) defender?)

We're still being linked with both Miranda and Godin from Atletico Madrid, can't see a transfer happening in January because Atletico are still in the Champions League so possibly a move in the summer transfer window?

In news relating to players at the club, Januzaj is reportedly going to be shipped out on loan come January to get some first team football so that's good news for his development

Also, look at the swagger of Louis van Gaal

With a glass of wine in hand, he toasts well wishes to the media at the pre-match press conference before our clash with Newcastle

Haha, are you even allowed to have wine at a press conference? He's probably the first to do it

(you can watch the intro to the press conference here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vQKdQQXfZY)

When asked if Adnan Januzaj needs the experience of playing elsewhere on loan, Louis van Gaal replied: "No. He is a player of United."*#mufc

LvG provided an update on Di Maria saying he picked up an injury in the teams last training session

Other then that, I couldn't drag myself out of bed to watch the match live but by all the scoreline and the match highlights I've seen, it was a pretty good match so I'm hoping to find the full match somewhere online to watch it

We played well starting to look like the United we know

Defence still shakey though
