Word is he will get some game time V Cluj. He re-injured the same knee which was reconstructed on last year. Nowhere near as bad, I think it was just severe bruising of it. Fingers crossed - he plays in the Derby. I wouldnt mind seeing him with Smalling at CB's to counter their header ability at set plays.

Ive got a feeling though that Fergi is going to go with Smalling @ RB.

So something like this..

--- Lindergaard---

Smalling--Ferdinand-Vidic--Evra

Valencia -- Carrick -- Fletcher -- Young

---Rooney --- RVP---

The whistle goes, that's the match, City 2 - Utd 3

Tevez could've received been sent off, lashing out at Jones with his leg

Who's the idiot that threw the coin at Rio?

Should've thrown something heavier.

Some man utd transfer news from various papers

Raheem Sterling -With the January window only less than 3 weeks away, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping an eye on the current situation with Liverpool's whizz kid Raheem Sterling. Sterling has only turned 18 on Saturday and Liverpool are keen for Sterling to sign a new deal as soon as possible. The only stumbling block is Sterling wants £70, 000 a week as opposed to the £25, 000 Liverpool offered. It is believed that Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson can meet Sterling's demand plus the luxuries of Champions League football and guaranteed success of winning titles every season. Daily Mail

Theo Walcott - Man Utd are in the box seat to sign England International Theo Walcott at cut price deal of £8million. Walcott's contract is up at season's end and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is in no hurry to let his leading goal scorer leave in January. Walcott is keen to stay at Arsenal, as long as they give him the £100,000 a week he/his agent is after, but if he does leave then United is his preferred destination. Mirror Daily Mail

Alexis Sanchez - Man Utd have made a move to sign Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez. Barca coach Tito Vilanova does not want to part with the Chilean star in the January window, but the Reds have refused to give up.Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been checking on Sanchez’s form and situation, as it is believed Barca may be willing to sell in the summer. Man Utd have asked to be kept in the loop. Having initially made an enquiry about a transfer in the summer, they now have hopes of sealing a straight-cash deal. Mirror
