cut the club's emblem off the shirt and burn the rest of it...
A team's shirt is it's emblem. Not just the badge on the front.

All those people who burnt it are pissing on Daglish, Shankley and other Liverpool Legends who have worn that shirt.

At worst pack up the jersey and chuck it in a clothing bin.

PS. I still wear my Ronaldo Jersey with pride.

fair enough and i agree... i still have my torres jersey from 2 or 3 seasons ago and havent done anything with it yet...

but there is a difference between torres and ronaldo... ronaldo stayed at the club and got the job done for his club to equal liverpool's record in amount of title wins, left for a club in another league rather then joining a rival in the same league whereas torres sulked, totally disrespected the club for what it is and they have done for him by joining a rival team in the middle of the season.

United are a team with ambition. Why would he want to go to another team in England when he had already won everything their is to win in England with United? Liverpool had lost their way and were lacking ambition. Cannot blame Torres for being jaded. He is an ambitious person and wants to win things. If Liverpool got their act together he would still be there. Whether Liverpool do get their act together will remain to be seen.

we are an ambitious club but its the club's hierarchy like moore, parry, the 2 american idiots and christian purslow that destroyed our club... rafa is also partly to blame for our downfall from his transfer records to the way how he managed the team and firther evidence of that at inter... roy made things worse... bringing kenny back to manage the team is a sign of desperation that we needed...

it will take us 2 or 3 seasons for us to get back to competing for the top

By then you'd think the likes of Tottenham and City will be serious contenders so it will be a very interesting fight for Champions League places.

Agreed. Again. In a Liverpool thread I am agreeing with Doga!

Sadly we became unambitious with the last regime. They were in it for their interest payments. Rafa made some mistakes, but if you look at the bigger picture, the man over achieved.

I do not blame the player for wanting to move on to a club where he has a chance to win something. If a footballers career lasts 10 years, he's given us a third of his career. Thank you nando and good luck, except against us. He could have thanked the fans though, even Babel did and he was not worshipped as much as Torres was.

Can't blame him for leaving in search of some silverware, but i guess the problem was the timing. By leaving that late he left Liverpool with little choice of strikers and turned a 20mil striker into a 35mil striker for them.

Last season proved that. We had the 6th best squad in the league and finished 7th. From the first game of last season, just looking at Tottenham's bench against us I knew we were screwed.

Liverpool fans who expected a title challenge last season were loopy.
The ones that wanted Rafa gone were thick.
The ones that thought Mourinho was going to fly in on a parachute to save us were mental.
The ones who thought Roy ****in Hodgson was the answer need shooting.
The ones who blame Rafa for this poor season deserve to be gang raped by giant porcupines overdosed with viagra.

Would you burn a Bulldogs jersey if Ryan Tandy was wearing it? :p

Ancelotti said Torres will play.

I was joking mate. ;-)

What of George Bush was wearing it, would you remove the jersey first before setting him on fire?
