Walking into a shit show doesn’t mean he has to act like a shit head.
His results to date are no better than his predecessors , so his coaching has had no impact on the players .

This is a good point that's perhaps getting lost in all of this.

Who's improved under Amorim? Amad? What aspect of their game has got better? Fewer shots conceded?

It's fine to say the players aren't good enough, but they were better under Ten Haag and that's not even debatable.

When he was strongly linked to Liverpool I liked how he stood up for players. I felt he was very similar to Klopp in that sense so I don't know if he was like that at Sporting.

He can't change in a year or two when he gets 'his players'

well from what I've been told from one of my friends who supports porto, amorim was like this with sporting by implementing his systems to start with and then getting the right players in.

need to keep in mind that this is pretty much ten hags team it'll take a couple of transfer windows to bring in the right players and selling the overpaid ones like casemeiro.

Oh, there's no doubt he's always been a stubborn bastard sticking to his principles which is great. Completely agree with that as he's been brought over for a reason so he needs to stick to it.

I'm just not sure he was openly destroying every single player in the club like he is now. Players at Sporting would've run through walls for him ....early days anyway, after the West Ham helicopter thing there was lots of talk of unhappy players.

How is saying this is the worst Man U team in history going to help anything other than him gaslighting everyone into thinking the issues have no connection to him at all? Seems to be working on his side, but if these results continue people will start waking up to his shit pretty soon.

You'd have been happy for Arteta to come into your club and trash talk your players plus club?

Struggling to see the point of doing it personally? Agree they need a clear out but you've got to work with what you've got. This is like ripping your nose off to spite your face.

What advantages does the team get from this?

SCAMorim is a fraud. At the start of this season some Sporting players were transfer targets of other clubs , he told players to stay put as they have unfinished business for season 2024/25 .
Players like Gyokeres stayed loyal and stayed, but what did SCAMorim do After he told the players to stay?
What did he do mid season at Sporting?
Hes nothing like Klopp, Klopp would never do something like that.

Klopp bought MacAllister & Szoboszlai then a few months later announced he's leaving.

We really don't know what managers have said to their players.

Nothing funny about this. In his first season took over a team that finished below Arsenal last season. Added no players besides Chiesa who has hardly played & took Liverpool to the top of the league. Arteta in 5 seasons hasn't done what Slot has so far.

That is true & I agree with you. But if he does finish ahead of Arteta this season then he's clearly the better manager.

Of course. And Slot could easily collapse next year and be putrid. Who knows?

Consistency is the key and judging off one year isn't the smartest.

I think the key point about Arteta is that with all the fanfare and praise he's received, he's actually done very little to this point and could turn out to be another Moyes.

11 years of "successful" football without winning a trophy.
