Which is why they should be ignored, and definitely not posted in here. They have an agenda.
You can ignore them or not; their existence remains unchanged.
By all means, don't 'click' - much better to read it here ;)
So,
not posted in here
...doesn't really serve any purpose.
They have an agenda.
Yes. Obviously. Which you cannot control. You cannot control their hate.
But, you can control your response.
Simply don't buy in.

The discussion was fair game in my opinion between Anasta and Kent, only Buzz’s comments are agenda driven, the bloke slips the boot in at any opportunity
Kent was 100% correct - all Dogs need to see is improvement. They are not a top 8 team and are still a way off, but improvement means they are building to that. It's going to be week to week.

Buzz tried to start with RFM at Dragons saying he looked brilliant and Kyle Flanagan looked great obviously to then start having a go at Dogs but Anasta shut him up quick lol

Just cause you don’t like these clowns on fox doesn’t mean they aren’t correct. They are 100% right the club signed a bunch of average players and will not improve with any of them.
But look at what they replaced. Is anyone seriously missing any of the duds that have played here the last few seasons?

We all know the majority of signings are place holders till the kids come through

1. 80's success
2. Super League
3. Salary Cap
4. Coffs Harbour (made worse by us winning)
= "just don't like 'em"
* It's just fashionable amongst the "journalistic', puritan, pearl-clutching class to dislike the Dogs - not liking us ensures they remain safely part of the herd.
+5. Add Gus. Now becomes obsessive, visceral hatred, with much invested in us "not succeeding", but primarily Gus failing#. All shrowded in faux-concern for "players", "the game", "the good of society", "the soul of humanity", or whatever other "higher-purpose narcissism" is on the menu this week.

# Neither will happen, so it's just a matter of whether we lift the trophy before his liver gives out.
I, for one, wish him good health and hope he makes it to see our inevitable success. Then again, if he doesn't, IDRGAF either.

I think it goes back to the superleague days. Gus was mates with Kerry Packer and Buzz is a Murdoch stooge.

I'm as staunch Bulldogs supporter as you can find, I listen to what is said over the air waves about our club and I treat any adverse comment about our club with contempt.
HOWEVER WHAT WE MUST REMEMBER IS THAT WHAT IS SAID OVER THE AIR, DOES AFFECT OUR WEEK FANS, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO FOLLOW OTHER TEAMS, THE FENCE SITTERS, ALSO THE YOUNG AND THE SIMPLE, ALL OF WHOM STILL COUNT.

So true.....waiting for fair ref calls is in the same forlorn hope category. We'll always be set up by the media no matter our fortunes....short of Murdoch buying a stake in the club or re-naming Belmore Oval like Phins have :grinning:

When we start winning we won't care and won't be triggered by the Murdoch Media tho. We'll be proud and confident enough to celebrate in house to overcome....like we used to.

Meanwhile... hard yards. Tough carries. Suck it up and enjoy the fellow long suffering comraderie on here :grinning:
I look forward to the day when "fair ref calls" are simply not required, and we win by 50 anyway.
And come Monday night, they're all saying (through gritted teeth), "who can stop the Bulldogs"...

Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo’s bold optimism following their poor season-opening loss to the Eels has been called into question.

After Canterbury were thumped 26-8 by Parramatta, Ciraldo raised eyebrows with some comments in the post-match press conference.

“I couldn’t be happier with some of the things I saw out there,” he said.

“Obviously the scoreboard didn’t go in our favour but to come back and win the last 20 minutes two tries to one and two tries all in the second half, I thought that was outstanding.”

The clip was played on NRL 360 and co-hosts Braith Anasta and Paul Kent were divided on where the Dogs are at in their second season under Ciraldo.

“I didn’t quite see it the same way to be honest,” Anasta said after Ciraldo’s presser comments were played.

They’ve recruited a lot of players at high turnover and look I’m willing to give them a few weeks, but you’ve got to admit with the turnover of players, the recruitment, the money they’ve spent, they need to improve these next couple of games. The heat is already on.”

But Kent argued it was unfair to judge the rebuilding club against a Parramatta side he believes will play finals this year.

“I thought Parramatta were a really classy team and have a real good look about them this year so if you put it in that light, the Bulldogs (weren’t that bad),” Kent said.

“I think they’re still learning how to play how Ciraldo wants them to. They’re not the finished club by any standards, they’re still a club on the improve. They’re not a top eight club, let’s remember that and Parramatta are a top eight club.”

But Phil Rothfield argued the club has prioritised a group of average players instead of going after one or two stars.

“They signed eight handy players in the off-season, Turpin, Hutchison etc… borderline NRL players at their previous club,” he said.

“If you average them out at 300, there’s 2.4 million of your cap which personally I would rather see them strengthen positions they needed. But they didn’t have any money left after signing all these players.”

“They were replacing what they had with slightly better until they can make the big kill,” Kent responded.

“There’s no point going and wasting money paying overs for a guy just so you get that notch on the belt of signing a big name when he’s not really what you need and then that means that money is not there when a player you really do need becomes available.”

The panel pointed out Ciraldo went after and missed out on Addin Fonua-Blake and Tino, but Rothfield said they needed a halfback .

“Why didn’t they go hard for Tom Dearden? Ezra Mam was off contract,” he said.

Bulldogs premiership winner Anasta asked how long it would take because “I’ve watched the Dogs forever and this rebuild has been forever”.

“The problem with the salary cap is you can’t go out like you could in years past and fix your problems with money because you’ve got to manage your salary cap,” Kent said.

“Now they’re not travelling at the rate of improvement you’d like to see… but they are getting better.”
Buzz is such an annoying old ****...oh they need a halfback Kenty

Tell me when NRL Fox have had something positive to say about the dogs. Every week their journalists pump out negative trivial articles about the dogs. I would love to be editor in chief because I would silence the strangler & all the other cronies in there.
It doesn’t get much worse for a rebuilding club to receive the title “Canterbury, where careers go to die”…. If the players don’t fire the fu<k up after that article, there’s something seriously wrong

Do they Know any set plays?
Practice makes perfect, that Sharks play where the chip to the winger who quickly passes it back in, anything better than none.

Phil Gould's Thoughts on Rothfield
September 2013
“Rothfield has sledged me for more than a decade. His bitterness towards me has overtaken common sense and accuracy where my name is concerned. He is constantly wrong about me but that doesn’t stop him backing up for another go. He has never contacted me to verify a story. He once sent me an abusive email. My email response must have hit the mark because he’s never written to me again. These days he’s just spitting into the wind. Every time he opens his mouth about me it blows right back in his face.”

It's now over 20 years

cry me a river it's been one game where we had barely any possession with new players....

it's going to take time, we'll come good and nab a few wins within the next month

When the Bulldogs' young stars start to perform they and their managers will be looking at increased market value.
Players like O'Neill, Papali'i, Edwards, Hayes, Hughes, Kautoga and Todd will start to look for bigger pay packets. That's just 6 who could be worth say $1.5m to $2.0m a season alone if we wanted to keep all of them. Skelton, Wilson, Clarke, Johanssen, Woods, Samrani and others will also attract offers at some stage.
Many of these guys will be close to NRL next year.
For this year Gus has signed players who will be committed in defence and committed to their team mates and committed to the club. He wants to showcase that and instill it into the younger players. To give them something to think about when they start getting offers from other clubs.
And most importantly he needs a war chest to keep these young stars when they are ready for first grade and looking for the bigger salaries.
So whatever these guys were talking about on 360, they have totally missed the point.
