A long while back I met a bloke at a party that said that he played reserve grade for the Eels. Said that he got picked for first grade and while riding his motorbike on the way to his first game, he crashed into a truck. He said that he was in a coma for 6 months and took another 6 months before he could leave hospital, and never got to play a game for the Eels.

The only response I could come up with was, "wow. You really dodged a bullet"
