Speaking of marital bliss gags…

A guy takes his seat at the NRL Grand Final and there’s an empty seat next to him. It’s the only spare seat in the whole stadium. On the other side of the spare seat is an older man. The younger guy asks the older man if he knows why the seat is empty. ‘Yes’, said the older man, ‘it was for my wife, but she passed away recently’. ‘That’s very sad’ said the younger man, ‘my condolences - but did you not have a friend or other family member you could give the ticket to?’ The older man replied: ‘they’re all at the funeral’ :-).
