Thinking of subscribing for my parents, but know very little about options in Australia.

Any help/advice would be most welcomed.

As far as Telstra internet goes, that's like any other internet.

Telstra TV itself is really just the box unit. It's like an Apple TV except Apple TV can't play Foxtel Now. PS4/PS3 have the same thing as Apple TV including Foxtel Now.

The bonus with Telstra TV is that it also allows you to run normal free to air TV through it. Keep in mjnd that you can buy a Telstra TV unit separately without subscribing to Telstra internet

Doesn't that Roku support all of the subscription services ?
That'd be the way to go.

Yep. Or Apple TV, or a gaming console, or a number of other devices. But the Roku doesn't support Foxtel Now.

Thanks folks!
Plenty to research; Roku was not an option I'd considered.

I didn’t know that.
Is there anything on foxtel now, that makes it worthwhile ?
Kind of. Sports basically. Foxtel Now is the new name for Foxtel Play. It's basically just a online streamed version of Foxtel.

I did it for my mum saving her $95 a month just on foxtel Bill change the 50gb plan to 1tb plan equal cost 90 a month.

Telstra tv is really easy to use compare to others on the market. Also if you currently used Telstra as a mobile there a new plans include 1 to 3 tv packs for foxtel now.

I wouldn't get it personally - I don't watch that much TV though. If your parents love TV it's probably better to look at getting it, but for me, I don't watch the much of even the extra digital channels are off 99% of the time - I only really watch Becker re-runs on 11 lol.
