Maté seriously if you cannot see how shit we are you have rocks in your head we never look like scoring and our defensive was not there
This team has problems and nothing will change next year
I saw another thread you created(which was totally unnecessary)why didn't you just give your negatory spin in here.

Things aren't looking good no doubt there but why would fans write off next season 7 months out from it starting, fmd masochism at its finest .. :tearsofjoy:

Bro you always do this every loss. We played with 11 players at one stage and 12 players for 20 minutes.
Ref keeps blowing six agains for no reason,
Preston was disallowed a try and that was a 12 point turnaround, look at the second half only 2 try’s for the nights.
Thats a positive way to look at todays result, 42-6.

Perhaps mate, but we are in a really poor place particularly with Defence. We look worse than under Barrett and he is useless so I am little scared..
I’m with you but hopefully next year CC will learn something from this year and prepare better.

Because Gus says so. He says that we will steadily improve and expect to be playing finals in 2026 or 2027. I trust him .... only hope we have!

I think it could get worse … no half, 5/8, brand new 1 and a 9 that’s can’t cope with pressure … pretty much the worse spine in the comp … add no go forward in the front row

Players are mentally drained. Many aren't capable of week in week out grind. That's why we are getting worse. We lost to many experienced players to injury at the start of the season. The players who covered are burnt out because they weren't ready. We are getting worse across the 2 grades. We were short on experience up front anyway than we lost KIks Thompson TPJ and we have been going backwards since R12 or so. It's just NRL experience. I think next yr we are better for it plus we need get more resilient, decision under pressure and fatigue. I think CC and Gus know what they are doing. We didn't have the players and it was going to take a few yrs to rotate through the weak deadwood.

Gus needs to be absolutely ruthless in the off season. He needs to trade out guys like Pangai who are on high salaries and not performing. You cant pay a player 850k for glaring errors in attack & defence & 17 minutes of game time. Thompson was his usual under performing self today and exactly like TPJ. Also need to lose Okenturd, flanno, Burnes, RFM , waddell, Sutton etc. They are a combination of over paid or simply not NRL players. Even our juniors of the last decade to be quite frank are not career nrl players. In short there is a mountain of turd in our kennel and the stench needs some serious shoveling out. We also need to take the NRL to task over biassed reffing because it is real. Casey badger today showcased her hatred of the dogs clearly today on 2 separate occasions.

too many players falling off tackles, and getting beaten one on one. A lot of times innocuously.

too many dropped balls, both in attacking 4th tackle plays in opposition 20m zone and also in yardage sets

inability to keep up with the pace of the game when the opposition get some momentum, players looking tired and slow.

I think people saying it’s not the cattle need to think whether the above has more to do with the coach or the execution and ability of the players.

You cannot come out and say that!!! He is giving excuses to the players to under perform. I'd much prefer the Wayne Bennett mindset of we are here to win now and anything else is a failure.

Because it will be 2024 not 2023. We will all be a year older. Bulldogs will be a year closer to breaking Paramatta's Premiership drought record.

I know look at the dragons and the tigers both got rotted. The coach should come out and say something.
I hate the position we are in but what the fuck can we do?

Hope there's not more of that connection bullshit during the off season.

How about we employ a full-time specialist halves coach who can teach Burton how to kick properly. I really don't understand why Burton doesn't kick as high as he can any more when it gives us an advantage. Doesn't make sense unless he's carrying a leg injury.

Ciraldo has obviously lost the dressing room or more so he never f..king had it in the first place so I can't see him improving anything when he's shown he's not capable of even getting team selections right.

Crichton and Taaffe won't be enough to make a big difference. Next year instead of getting beat 42-6 by the Knights we'll only get beat by 36-12. One will score an extra try and the other will save one. How long is it going to take Xerri to learn the game again if he can at all ? He'll probably need to spend at least the first half of the season in reserve grade. Maybe we should try buying more players on the form they showed 4 years ago and while using steroids. Busted SST will be lucky to play more than a handful of games but yes it lets Gus use that as an excuse as someone else said.

If Gus is seriously considering re-signing any of our current crop of losers including Thompson he needs his head red (oh that's right it already is)

All our problems stem from facts many of us have whinged about for years but nothing has been done to rectify the situation
1/Need for an experienced rebuild coach and proven NRL comp winning coach (Shane Flanagan)
2/ Need for an experienced 7
3/ Need for decent metre eating / hard hitting big middles

We're not getting paid the big bucks like Gus but it's so f..king obvious. Seems he's more interested in stretching out the re-build and his 1M a year as long as he can. We never should have re-signed Burton for the money we paid.

Can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. We don't even have any decent big props coming through. Only way we're going anywhere next year is if we sign not one but 2 effective big body props but that's the other thing. Gus has waited until the shelves are bare
