I'm gonna give my best shot at a 'team of the 90's'... already having problems choosing between Mullins and Brasher at FB...

1 Brasher
2 Willie Carne
3 Steve Renouff
4 Mal Meninga
5 Wendal Sailor
6 Terry Lamb
7 Ricky Stuart (better than Langer for mine)
8 Paul Harrigan
9 Ben Elias (sorry stephen, but ben is better imo)
10 Mark Carroll
11 Gordan Tallis
12 Darren Smith
13 Brad Clyde

Id have ET at fullback, Langer instead of Stuart, Gillespie instead of Carroll, S. Walters instead of Benny. If there was a bench, Id relegate Darren Smith and throw in Sirro. Laurie Daley would also be pushing for at least a centre spot instead of Meninga who was past his best in the 90's(have to keep Lamb in there at 5/8th). Adrian Brunker would be pushing for a wing spot instead of Carne :p .....just kidding.
Interesting topic. There were so many good players, every position has at least 5 contenders.

there were too many great players in the 90's I dont want to compile a team because I would have to leave out too many good players

Adrian Brunker? Why stop there, why not put Albert Fulivai on the other wing? hehe

Surely Stu Galbraith gets the halfback spot? Throw Cizza in the 2nd row instead of Chee Quee. LMAO at Mitch Newton. Big tall mofo that had no talent at all.

You forgot Andrew Patmore! IMO he is an automatic selection for the "crap team of the 90's". How Patmore played as many first grade games for the Bulldogs as he did has got me beat.

Have copied and pasted a post of mine of 28/3/05 from the near identical thread "Your team of the 90's". This saves me the effort of having to think all over again - LOL - a big thankyou to the Search function on the Kennel! I have noticed that a lot of Kennel threads/topics tend to repeat themselves after a while (this is not neccessarily a bad thing - indeed its sometimes good to revisit if the topic in question is interesting).

So, here is that post of mine from 28/3/05...............

For the 4 interchange players, I have selected players who can play more than one position (1 x centre/five-eighth/lock, 1 x centre/second-row and 2 x prop/second-row).

Anyway, here is my side of the 1990s..............

1. Brett Mullins
2. Willie Carne
3. Mal Meninga (c)
4. Steve Renouf
5. Wendell Sailor
6. Laurie Daley
7. Andrew Johns
8. Glen Lazarus
9. Steve Walters
10. Paul Harragon
11. Paul Sironen
12. Gorden Tallis
13. Bradley Clyde
Interchange
14. Brad Fittler
15. Darren Smith
16. Dean Pay
17. Ian Roberts

Some good players (eg Langer, Lamb, Ettingshausen, Moore, Larson, Brasher etc) would not have been out of place in such a team - unfortunately there are only 17 positions available!
