So what are you saying we should leave all the under 22's in Cup until they are superstars there? These kids have already had a decent apprenticeship albeit a disrupted one since 15, they know their trade..

Averillo/BBO/Schoupp/Kiraz/Patolo/Wakeham/Topine and others will and have already been thrown into that difficult job by themselves and I can guarantee when they are a part of a better team they will be better players for it, the most part because they have had that NRL experience.
@Riggs80 pretty much replied for me. The NRL side is a dumpster fire at the minute with a coach who hasn’t shown any ability to improve players from rookies to veterans. I can’t see what positives there is to gain throwing them in the deep end when they aren’t ready.

You can make a fair argument that Kiraz deserves a game or two just on what he showed in the Brisbane game but the rest are no where near ready.

Extending players like knockmore shows the club has no ambition to compete for finals

You just don’t get it .
these guys will not learn anything of valued being put in first grade in this side .
the team is shit with bad habits and you don’t “learn “ or get better in that environment whilst you are building your game, body and confidence in that environment . These players need to develop their game in the level that they are at . What will kiraz learn being in first grade.. to hog the ball because the rest are useless or when there is a dropped ball to put his head down as it’s game over or if he next to a numbing that can’t defend to race out of the line or not work with defensive structures.
Do you think Sam walker would be the player he is right now if he debut last year in the dogs side or roosters side . His confidence would have been shot and probably lost up the game .

I have a 13 year old nephew , he can sidestep guess should put him in the side as he will get experience .
Fair points... Though u don't think you cant learn bad habits in other grades.

I can name MANY things your can learn and better yourself at NRL level.

How about match speed and fitness?

How about gaining skills and learning from your opposition?

How about learning the tricks to a trade, those little things that can make your game better?

How about the fact you start to learn about your oppositions culture, structures, plays and lingo on field?

As for BBO, 10-20mins of NRL is just as good as 80min at NSW cup level... As said the kid is learning aspects to his game he wouldn't learn in cup. For example, there are things in flegg and reserve grade you would NEVER get away with in first grade... Sooner the kids realize it the sooner they can adjust.

In the end I do agree that atm its not the best way to bring rookies espescially with a coach who is probably at the same level coaching though this whole its going to ruin their career crap is ridiculous. There are just as much positives as negatives bringing kids in early.

Oh and as for your Neph, your just a flop.

As a Bulldog fan this year I think it's akin to opening up pornhub and finding it's all man on man action or alternatively it's your spouse or partner taking on a crowd. Some people are still watching. But as they do, they know they're developing mental scar tissue.

I watched my last game four weeks ago now. Feels a bit sad giving up the one sport I watch, but also a relief to not get pissed off that we're playing poorly and aside from that, still being shat on hard by the refs when we actually start displaying some semblance of form.

I might be a bit of a fair weather fan right now. Still love the team but just don't need the bad moods that seeing the games delivers.
