    Round 13

    GUNS
    Aaron Woods (FRF, $557,100)

    Bulldogs recruit Aaron Woods.
The big name recruit is the pick of a bad bunch. Woods has a very similar SuperCoach pedigree to the man he replaced, James Graham. He offers a very reliable 50-60 points every week without fail, and will be less impacted by Origin than previous years given the new draw introduced by the NRL. Woods is an option for safe coaches, but if you’re a coach who seeks a high ceiling in players, he isn’t your man.

PODS
Moses Mbye (HFB, HOK, $382,000)

The Bulldogs will be more of a POD team than a gun team in 2018, and Mbye heads the list. Mbye is an unknown at fullback and presents a gamble with upside for those willing to take him on. He has a huge ceiling, carries a valuable dual halfback, hooker status and starts cheap at $382k. He’ll increase his hit-up tally from the back of the field and may benefit with extra attacking stats given the opportunity to chime in on both sides of the field. He may be one to have a look at and jump on after round two if his transition to the number one jumper is a success. Monitor his trial form to get an indication of what to expect.

Michael Lichaa (HOK, $361,900)

Keep an eye on round one teams as Fa’amanu Brown’s inclusion on the bench could put a line through Lichaa. The 24-year-old came to the Dogs from Cronulla as an attacking weapon with his ability to run from dummy half. Hasler’s style of play destroyed his natural running game and therefore his SuperCoach output. With Pay at the helm, Lichaa’s attacking stats are likely to increase significantly. While a Cameron Smith/Siliva Havili combination will be popular, Lichaa could be a left field option for those expecting a big year from the No. 9.

Michael Lichaa is set to play a new style under Dean Pay.
CHEAPIES
Josh Cleeland (5/8, HFB, $164,600)

The Dogs’ starting side will be very hard to crack, with the only exceptions at wing and halfback. If they struggle early in the season and need a shake-up it will likely be 26-year-old Josh Cleeland replacing Matt Frawley. With Kieran Foran under a constant injury cloud, the basement priced half should get his chance at some point in the season. Barring a surprise to the round one line-up, Cleeland won’t be an immediate purchase, but could find his way into teams at some point in the season.

NO GO ZONE
Kieran Foran (5/8, $391,600)

Please just don’t go there. It’s inevitable that there will be a handful of coaches spinning an angle that bodes well for Foran’s credentials, but as we’ve said time and time again, he isn’t a SuperCoach player. He’ll probably score a couple of soft tries in opening weeks and the bandwagon will start gaining momentum, but a month after that he’ll once again drop below his starting price.

If Elliott takes the lock role he could be a steal at the $335k mark. Montoya also good value.
Woods is a certain pick in my side

RFM will be a SC gun if he starts and plays 80 most weeks.

Lichaa scored well in last 2 rounds. Should i start with him again?? I did these past 2 seasons and got burnt.
Some solid points you guys made tho. Mbye is worth considering as back up hooker/half. Rfm if he plays close to 80 mins and especially if on left side.

I always thought Tolman would do good in this sort of BS. High highups and many tackles.

Klemmers endurance is amazing for the 1%er's he puts in.
Throw an offload or 2 in and his base stats will be looking pretty tasty.

+ not having to follow up Graham and Tolmans momentum killing and moral sapping play the balls I imagine he will offer a few more tackle breaks aswell.
