I usually start the year with Teddy at FB in SC but hes got no upside at 900k+. Paps could have massive upside at 600k. So thinking about Paps, who i have never started the year with. Hope hes really past his injury woes coz hes super value

Fortunately most of the time previous champs are keeping an eye on it and know when its likely to be up by now and dont miss out. Only once i know of a previous champ did miss out coz he was away and checked way too late. And he knows to check earlier now

Not as easy to manage holding spots as you might think. There are ex champions who dont even post on the forum any more, and any can do that at any time without me knowing. So how long to i "hold" a spot for someone? A month, till round 1? Take the risk the league cant start round 1 because of an odd number of players or have to kick someone out to make it an even number, when someone i held a spot for doesn't show up? And SC doesnt let you change it to public to fill a final spot like Fantasy does.

Nah. Anyone who plays sc knows when to look and you can access the kennel and the comps links from anywhere in the world with internet access. So being away isnt an excuse. Ive never been overseas and not been able to access the kennel. You snooze, you lose. Dont get me wrong, i hope all previous title holders play every year, for sure its better.

Hmm NRL Fantasy last year was ready before new years, not this year. They were only that early once, maybe it didnt work out. No idea when they will be ready now.

Before last year it came out around Australia day.

Usually around Australia day although I think it opened up a bit earlier last year

Yeh think.it was like 23rd jan. No idea when fantasy will be available, they are already weeks later than last year.

Im hoping for a better start this year in sc. I always start bad. 2 years ago lost my first 4 and finished a win from 4th. Last year lost 4 of first 5 finished a win from 8th.
 
Its weird, i wanna talk about the sc side ive picked but i dont wanna talk about it too. Coz i hope at least a few of them will be PODs. Dont want anyone agreeing with me lol.

I've watched a few podcasts of people picking their teams & so many are similar.
 
I suppose even when u get pods that perform, its not long before everyone gets them.

Like when I got Ryan James that year before he went on his try scoring run and captained him, that's when I finished 300 odd lol

I usually start bad in Fantasy and have to claw my way back. I've learnt not to panic and trust the process, origin a good time to pick up ranks. It does suck a bit for H2H comps tho, sometimes I leave my run too late and miss a final here and there depending on the league.
 
One a lot of people will have is AFB. He was good enough when playing for warriors, if he can be even better in a better side, everyone will have him. AFB is my most expensive player, and hes 19th most expensive. So i havent picked any of the top 18 most expensive players. More like my money is spread more evenly through the top 18 (with flex player). 19-26 are all cheapies. Want to make some money before i get in more expensive players with little upside in price.
