You'd have to think that the Panthers have already offered him a contract by now.
Panther would of tried to lock him down before he came off contract last November. The salary cap goes up for every team so I don't see much changing in regards to that - we'll pay the same % now we were originally going to pay on the old salary cap.

Just get moses..forget crighton ...we have many options for fullback, averillo, declan casey, kiraz ans 16 other up and comers gus just signed.
We have millions to spend, where are we going to spend it. We need to bring top quality into the team. We're not expected to make the 8 as is with what we currently have. Casey not good enough imo.

Can't see how Chrichton stays with the Panthers after this year. They've won the last 2 GF's and most of their roster is tied up with GF stars on long term contracts. With what he or his manager are asking they certainly won't get at the Panthers, especially as he has made it clear he wants to play FB.

Bulldogs need a decent FB and he has height, pace and is good at an intercept. Bulldogs also have up to 12 players off contract at the end of 2023.

I rewatched some S Crichton footage recently and was pleasantly surprised how good his ball work was. His Reading numbers, drawing players and finding his outside man were sublime. This skill along with his pace will bode well for chiming into the backline and setting up try’s.

Don’t want to go against grown adults with responsibilities positing on forums, but I think Gus and Ciraldo would have a good educated opinion on what Creoghton is capable of.

The fact he wants the Panthers to make another offer tells me he'd rather stay.
Could be just normal process for his management team. Before he signs a contract with a new team give the current team the ability for a BAFO (Best and Final Offer). Also doesn't mean he will re-sign with the panthers, if they get close. If he wants to join the dogs it will have no real impact other than delaying announcements. Panthers may even refuse to provide another offer if they think it's pointless.

it all depends on how much the Panthers are willing to increase his offer and how much we are willing to stretch our offer to take into account the increase the salary cap...its obvious his heart is still with the pAnthers if his management are going back to panthers asking for their best deal

True but Panthers players have won the last 2 premierships and ALL players and their managers want to maximise their worth. They’ve reached the pinnacle and now reality kicks in as the Salary cap bites. If he stays, which I find hard to believe he will for what they’re after, Panthers would have to let others go to fit within the cap.
