If no one becomes available, Gus will get creative and upgrade the contracts of established and younger players to make sure that we spend the required cap amount while building from within.

No to d saf, yes to horsebrah, maybe to nas

We need one big boppa to really complete and make our squad well balanced. I’m a firm believer we’re punching above our weight and anything that makes it easier on the rest of the team we should do it

I agree but it’s hard getting a pig and firebrand that can have the stamina to not be gassed after 10 mins with our defensive structure. It just creates holes in the line and gets exploited ala TPJ on the weekend clutching at air. Then in then if you have put them through a rigorous off season of training etc would that weight loss impact their sole reason off the bench? It’s a tough one. I personally think SST is the go, he’s fit (not a fat weight orientated guy) if he can prove he’s on top of his injuries then he’s just what we need. A player that can distrupt the forward line, charges from the back of the fence and is cost effective. Sitili and Amone along with him and we’re cooking. Would’ve loved to see Stefano join but am confident we can still cover that with SST to a part.
Royce Hunt, Horse and NAS are not players that will roll their sleeves up and put in what’s required I personally don’t think.

I’m not expecting anymore signings for 2025 unless it’s Taukeiaho after the pre season. I think Gus will upgrade a few contracts and extend some jnrs.

If the Sharks would part with him, which I doubt they would, Siosifa Talakai would make a great prop. It's a body type we don't have, at least NRL ready. Not sure on what we have coming through with regards to that powerful nuggety forward.

I can't see Gus not making any moves in the player market for the 25 season. He would get too fidgety. I expect some players from the top 30 and beyond being nudged out and those gaps filled.

Hopefully Knight and Patolo get moved on... Patolo will NEVER reach his potential because he doesn't seem to have it in him and he is ALWAYS injured.. Suluka-Fifita also hopefully sent packing.. hes had plenty of chances with numerous clubs, again looks like his potential will never be reached

Unless there is an absolute standout player comes available. I cannot see us signing anyone external on big coin.

Offer Sexton another year for 2026. which will include an upgrade for next year from what he is currently signed. I think we will be well and truly into 2026 before Woods or any of the young halves are ready. Sexton can hold this role for at least another year.

Also upgrade our young props coming through.

I reckon if we could get D Saf or NAS, that would be good for 2 years... NAS is back to his intimidating best... otherwise as i have been banging on about, big Tuki from Sharks or either Oregon Kaufusi or even Toby Rudolph (who is back playing pretty good footy now and the sharks will pay some of his freight)
Well the sharks Melbourne have a lot of forwards more sharks actually I think Cronulla will have to let go a lot of forwards starts with Royce hunt then the other younger ones are actually quite effective yes NAS IS PLAYING LIKE HIS OLD SELF THOUGH HE DID HAVE A CLOSED FIST AND KNOCKED MUNSTER OUT IF that hit the opponent he would’ve been sent off

Upgrades I reckon, with Amone and Toops coming, Harry and Lipoi showing they're FG calibre (even if 6mins at a time for the latter), and our backline being pretty stacked, do we really have any gaps?

Stef was a star prospect so maybe if another comes up we'll be interested but that's kind of the luxury category IMO.

I don't think we will be recruiting anyone that isn't a significant upgrade on who we already have, and with current form, that doesn't leave many players on our shortlist!
I agree we have our FOWARDS NOW AND I DONT SEE ANYMORE if anything maybe a MASSIVE PROP

Not what we need but i wouldn't mind seeing wishart in the blue and white. Utility 14 for a year or two then move him into Mann's lock role when he's ready.
Would be good, but tbh I want talent spread across comp, would be good to see him in 6 for Red Vagina tbh even though I hate them

isn't Clark a winger? Talking about back up centres
Dogs are fairly well off for back up center cover moving forward.
Some of the choices are: Clark (small center/winger but doesn't get pushed around in A or D), Simrani, Kiraz to center with Wilson/Sua to wing. Also, Mann, Salmon and Sitili can cover center if something happens during any game next year.

Maybe a massive MOBILE prop. Three off contract players I watched yesterday who showed real bulldog grit were Brodie Jones 103kg, Mat Croker 108kg and Jack Williams 98kg. I believe any one of these would fit in really well with the mould CC is developing for our pack - players who are tough, eager, gritty, never say die, mobile, determined and real workers.

If they aren’t good enough for their clubs because they have been granted permission to leave etc than they aren’t good enough for us.

Hunt, would get slaughtered by our system.

Nas, with us he’d tire way too quick and spend half season suspended.

Siafiti, lol no.

Horse, has the most potential to fit in our system.

I’d much rather bump up our existing players.

Also Salmon STINKS!! he is wasting a spot on the bench now.. Presto and Kiks play 80 mins on the edge and Salmon played about 15 mins in the middle vs Phins.. ineffective as ever.. His spot needs to go to Hipoi (genuine middle)..
Won’t happen. Cameron loves the weak gutted dog.

Personally hope we go and poach Xavier Wilson from broncos and would love if we could somehow get into Paulos eels.

Haas and Tino are the best but we need some big fucking **** and Paulo has the ball playing we would utilise while also maybe being someone eels open up parting with if they suck and caps that ficked. Especially if they have to go rebuild.
