Could employing a sports psychologist be the answer?

We have a FULL STRENGTH side, and can't muster anything up.

This is not a matter of talent. Its a matter of attitude...

I've heard of a few major sporting teams employing sports psychologists when their team is in a slump...

Would a SP do the trick, or do the boys just need to be beaten to a pulp at training?!

Too much talk and not enough action seems to be a big problem.

I am hoping tonight's poor performance is a wake up call but who knows.

We have seriously been lacking in fitness over the past couple of years ever since Billy Johnstone left :(

hahaha...i study sport psychologu at uni...lol

to me it seems that sure it is a litle bit mental....but i agree with folksey..
we need some luck.

luck = confidence..and vice versa..
we played better than the broncos...they got a lucky (theres that word) try and dropped the ball at times where if we held onto it we score..

the players to me are trying 110%..but that is the problem...they are trying to hard..forcing the last pass etc..
if those passes stick...then the dogs score is 40plus...if they dont..well you have seen that...

Have faith people...
OUR BELOVED TEAMS LUCK AND CONFIDENCE STARTS WITH US.....

if we as fans stand behind them every step of the way...support them whenever we can...dont question your own loyalty through team management..and most important US stay 110% positive..things will turn around..
to just think about what i said...ask yourself this question...

.....did we as fans act like some of us are doing now..(by questioning..doubting) back in 2004 when we won....even right up till last year?????

.......i joined the kennel...cause all there was good positive friendly chat and discussion...and i raved about to some other dogs and nrl fans...to which i heard back..some of the iscussion was good...but there seemed to be alot of in fighting..
now to me thats not what we as the kennel and dogs fans are all about..
but it starts here doesnt it...
....====> dogs fan for the last 30 + years

that luck excuse is bullcrap... you make your own luck through endevour and a concerted effort. There would be a massive amount of pressure on the team to perform and the more we give and just tell them to HTFU, could potentially just add to it. The team is going to become petrified to lose and that is not a winning situation. The team needs to focus on the processes of playing football in the best possible manor.
