Slater is retired and will probably one day become an immortalDoes he really? Or does training and playing with Slater, Cronk and Smith and being mentored one on one make them look better than they really are? Is it possible that’s why when they leave they often don’t look as good anymore? Conversely Cronk isn’t being coached by Bellamy anymore and he still goes OK.

Exactly, and he is one on one mentoring the new guy. ie; Bellamy still needs Slater.Slater is retired and will probably one day become an immortal
Not the question, what is relevant is would he still be as good even without Bellamy. We will never know for sure, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t ask the question.Smith is there still and is arguably the best player in the game under bellamy
But is Cronk still good because Bellamy trained him, or was he always good and didn’t really need much coaching, which is why he still goes good without Bellamy. And that last sentence basically kills your entire argument.
Slater is now a media whore like all former player commentators, If he's mentoring someone that doesn't mean squatExactly, and he is one on one mentoring the new guy. ie; Bellamy still needs Slater.

I still firmly believe that people will ask the question, is Bellamy only a good coach when he has future immortals as players? He needs to coach a team without that advantage to prove how good a coach he really is.

Please remind me of his SOO record against Cronk, Smith and Slater? What a stupid comment
Slater does what, 3 maybe 4 hours a week on TV. He was doing some work with an AFL team if I remember rightly plus mentoring whatever his name is. At least he can run fast, I suppose Bellamy taught him that.Slater is now a media whore like all former player commentators, If he's mentoring someone that doesn't mean squat
You can't fluke that much success being a shit coach, relying on your superstar players to just coach themselves, and still have gems coming through the system.
Cronk benefitted massively from bellamy's coaching, he was struggling when first coming into grade, lacking confidence and questioning his ability, that's the story Peter sterling said on his show anyway, I can't see him making something like that up
Smith will be gone soon, so you'll get your answer after then i guess.
But you seem to be very determined to prove your right, no matter what gets said
I still think he's one of the top two coaches in the game.
We'll leave this discussion at that
Btw, I almost forgot,

Where?Armchair critics questioning one of the best NRL coaches of all time, while holding Dean Pay on a pedestal

Seriously, are you comparing Bellamy with Tom Brady, at last count he is worth $180 million and his wife Gisele Bundchen is worth $400 million (BTW that's US $'s). I'm sure Bellamy isn't in the poor house, but in the same sentence as the Bradys, not even on the same planet. It's easy to give up $1m when you have $600m, but not so easy when you have, what, a hundredth of that.Wanting Dymock? Thinking Bellamy throws away an empire he built for a bit of extra cash he doesn't need? Why do you think the Pats continue to win with Brady? Because he sacrifices the fuck out of his pay to have superstars around him, winning is more important than money to a few people, usually the champions of any sport.
Can't disagree with that. There's some meth head choices being throw around here.
Unfortunately it's just not the easy to convince the NRL to overturn an indefinite ban. More chance for 2021 than 2020 would be my guess, and even then 2021 might be a stretch.Get Flano in, end of discussion fight tooth and nail to make it happen.
What the fuck are u talking about. He only has one old scrooge left who does not even run from dummy half anymore and they are 6 points clear on top of ladder.Does he really? If you can't see the difference between Munster and the 4 future (most likely) immortals in Slater, Cronk, Smith and Inglis then I really can't help you. What the fuck are u talking about. Bellamy looked back at u the way he did cause he was probably thinking whats this fuckwit talking about.
For the next 6 years it will be because they have munster. No its not bellamy.
You weren't there, if you were you would have heard the conversation leading up to it and subsequent, we were all taking the piss out of each other. But hey, you go ahead and believe whatever you want to believe.U have issues with bellamy because he made u look stupid. I see the real issue here.

I see your problem, you can't enunciate your side of the debate so you resort to ad hominem argumentum. You are a first class bellend
