As most of you are probably aware the Club has commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW seeking an injunction against Sonny Bill Williams which will have the effect of restraining him from playing for any club other than the Bulldogs.
This is an important step for the sake of the Club and also for the players.
The sanctity of a contract is paramount: we need to know that players will meet their playing commitments just as they need to know that their pay will be in the bank.
With the legal proceedings underway our focus returns to giving our team the necessary support to secure a win against the Tigers at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.
Again I thank everyone for the hundreds of emails we have received in relation to Sonny Bill, the passion of fans is a big part of what makes our Club so great.
