He was reacting to a slap/swing at his face from the St George winger, but you can't do that. He has it in his game, remember the headbutt he did on the Parra winger (Sivo?), it was a nothing action, but you can't do it. Given all the legal ways you can bash a bloke in RL, its a stupid thing to have in your game.

He doesn't have a good record though he's only facing suspension because of prior incident last year which loaded his points.

I would appeal on the basis he's forced to play as a centre and he's disorientated .Hence the brain explosion.

How many times have we seen a marker do this exact same thing to try to upset the play the ball?
Problem is that it was obviously done in retaliation for the "attempted" punch and he was off to the side not marking up.

I also thought throwing a punch was an automatic 10min?

Flanagan got charged with grade 1 too but didn’t have any loading so didn’t miss a game.
