Sitili appreciation thread

Mahoney used to be real good with his short pass at putting parra forwards through good lines. Hope he can cut his niggle game out and focus more with Sitili and Preston running through those exact plays.
These guys are capable of many tries.

Alot people on here questioned his purchase but I never doubted it.

After me banging on about it on here since we signed him up, hopefully you doubters will now agree that he is better if not at very least just as good playing middle than on an edge.

He don't take a backward step.

He Bulldog!!!

I'd start Sitili and have Kiks off the bench for a cameo.

Kiks is not the Kiks we knew sadly. Needs less minutes.
Yeah I agree. He has way too many errors in him and I think he would be much more effective playing less minutes

I'd like to see him come off the bench and just try to steamroll the oppositions halves in the defence line and create havoc for 2 x 25 minute stints .

I'd start Hayes or Sitili instead, probably Hayes, as Sitili was outstanding coming off the bench yesterday and that type of impact is game changing

Gun. Roosters are mad letting him go. They fucked that one up.
I don't think the Roosters would know what to do with him.
He's a much better fit under Ciraldo's game plan.
Having said that, the Saints were already losing shape by the time Sitili came on.
It will be interesting to see how better organised sides counter the Hayes/Sitili/Curran/Mann interchanges. The way way Ciraldo changes attacking lines after 20 minutes.

He had a stint last year where he was the best second rower in the comp, but it seemed to fall away later in the year.

He tries to be too finesse at times, but we need to get him back to being a big hitter in defence and the first guy down the field on kick chases.

I miss him snapping blokes in half and miss defenders shitting bricks seeing him coming their way

Bringing Sitili and Kurt on in the latter stages of the 1st half was a master stroke. And watching Sitili barge over from Toby’s feed makes me think we’ve found our back row starch; a bit like what Olakau’atu brings to Manly.

Our version of Steve Menzies. Whenever both him and Kikau are on the field at the same time it will be a huge problem for opposition defences to pick which one to focus on. Will help free up Kiks a little. Hope Kikau can learn from him to run better lines also. He wastes his talent a little. Never thought we'd have a better attacking forward than Kikau but Sitili looks like he's going to have more impact / be more consistent

Sitili is still one of the best line runners in the league

It took Kiks a year to get into his leadership and high impact role due to so many challenges like the death of his dad and injuries. Sitili did it in game 1 with a disrupted off season, but let's hope no injuries for him. Having that much strike power out there between Kiks, Preston and now Sitili is huge for us. And I must say, Tracey's run returns was mint!

Egg on my face for that one - after his failed bomb catches in the trials I was really concerned.

Happened to shut a lot of us up with that game and his stats, hope he keeps his momentum

I now know how a Penrith supporter feels!

Saw him play an international match a while back and his hands were absolutely terrible. I assumed that this was why Roosters had let him go. Looks like that issue has been fixed based upon yesterday's game.

Not sure if it’s my imagination but looks a lot bigger. Much more musclier. I thought for sure he’d slot in at centre when Critta went off. But seems like he’s been build like a middle now. And did the job with 2 crucial tries. Good pick up. Shows how lost roosters are at the moment.

He's quick enough to be a centre as well. Possibly the quickest forward in the game.

I like him and Mann coming off the bench. Thought that bench worked pretty well. Just need to bring Curran in for Salmon and with Hughs and Kiraz back in for Dsf and Wilson we are looking at the best team we currently have.

I was bloody cheering when I saw he’d signed with us becuase I’d always rated him at chooks. He’s what we say in Tongan “loto lahi” … can be loosely translated to someone that’s got no fear, all ticker, all gas no brakes. Was always a gun. Exactly what we needed.

TK makes me laugh so much, . Riding the roller coaster of emotions with all these couch coaches. 1 bad game and Sitili will be shit!, last year so many people were creaming their pants over Kiks... now he's shit and need less minutes and is past it, bla bla bla. Nek minute he'll have a good game and everyone will be flogging themselves again. Who gives a fuck!? as long as we are winning! We were bye far the better team yesterday and Saints had no right to get that close to us. It's only round one... try holding your wads.
Go Dogs.

Thats the thing about kiks.the guys a beast but sometimes it feels like we could be getting better from him.in saying that I'd rather have him there ,than not having him there.
