Just a quick write up over our performances in different conditions.

Dry conditions:
The dry conditions lend themselves to the Kasianos and the Pritchards who seem to be able to use really silky passing work to create line breaks out of seemingly nothing. These players, who also possess strong offloading capabilities are amazing in dry games as the ball is not slippery, therefore most offloads and quick work on the hands should be taken by the receiver. Players like Aiden Tolman may cop scrutiny in dry games for not making the best out of the conditions and trying to grind out plays instead of using smooth work to generate attacking opportunites.

Wet Conditions: Unfortunately, players with magical hands are less able to use their talent in the wet games. This can hamper their impact on the game incredibly. Most of the time, with a greasy ball and a marshy surface, the sneaky passes and offloads can be hard to catch and can easily lead to errors. Not only this, but getting the pass off is difficult too. These games, having an Aiden Tolman is invaluable, as you need players to be able to take the gritty runs up the middle to make metres. As shown in our game against the Roosters, those hard metres up the middle were what won the game.

Thanks for reading if managed to finish it, heh!

I believe we're the best team in wet weather conditions. We're forced to play a more direct style which isn't so much the case during dry conditions.

the wet weather def played in our favour. it pretty much eliminated the foot work of the roosters players & couldnt utilise their tall wingers as effectively.

There is no doubt about the Doggies being a good wet weather side.

It suits us to a tee.

I agree. For what ever reason the Bulldogs seem to be more focused and mistake free in the wet. To add to that our aggressive defence in wet conditions puts the more jazzio ball playing sides right off their game.
