Cmon guys, do you guys actually think a referee would be stupid enough to be a financial member of any NRL club? Can you imagine the outcry when the media found out? They would probably lose their job. Shoot me down if I am wrong but I would be incredibly suprised.

I think maybe what is meant by a Souths man is that he is aligned with the referees for that particular area, or something along those lines.
