Is he going to the Raiders?
Well, he HAD a contract for 2019. But not now.So he has a contract for 2019 , then he wants a contract for 2020 and beyond? all this is BS and NRL should just say if you have a contract honor it or dont play.
I reckon sharks get him. They just lost Holmes so have the need and the money
MMM here in Brisbane is saying Sharks are the frontrunners. He must have another club lined up or wouldn't have left
At the least, he knows he will get offers. There are clubs seeking halves who would shuffle some shit around to afford him. He knows it. If it wasnt for Lewis showing such promise last year we would have had cause to get him in ourselves. He must have another club lined up or wouldn't have left
Mate I completely agree on the contract. If they leave they can’t earn more , percent that is fair and true. Player managers are a joke, another reason why the afl shits on the nrl not just in attendancesWell, he HAD a contract for 2019. But not now.
Yeh i dunno, i dont think they can prevent or ban breaking contracts, or force players to stay if they truly do have a family or internal club problems. But the consequences need to be tougher so players dont just go for more money. The club has to pay the difference if the club breaks the contract and they dont get paid the same where they end up. So the club has adequate consequences for breaking contracts. Players though, have none.
I believe it should be if players break contract for any reason, they should not be able to earn more where they go, than they would have gotten where they broke contract, for the remaining period of the broken contract.
Stops clubs trying to poach contracted players too by throwing bags of money at them. If they cant offer the player more money, they are less chance to get the player to break contract (often by the player requesting release for "compassionate" grounds).
If a player is truly going for compassionate reasons, he wont care that he will be getting the same money as before, he will still be grateful for the release.
So my way players can leave for genuine reasons, but are unlikely to go for money reasons.
I couldn't get past that ugly top, let alone sit through an 18 minute video.OFFICIAL FROM CLUB: https://www.warriors.kiwi/news/2018/11/28/vodafone-warriors-grant-johnson-a-release/
and can I just say, HOW GOOD IS CAMERON GEORGE their CEO: https://www.warriors.kiwi/news/2018/11/28/cameron-george-makes-johnson-announcement/
So laid back and speaks really well.
Lucky Panthers sewed up Luai or I could have seen them making a play.
I'd say they will look to Arona or Harris-Tevita now... both potential prospects.
