It’s not that sad. He made the choice, and he’s put other people at risk for his own selfish decision.
Yeah, and he is going to cop the consequences for that.

What will almost certainly go unrecognised is the likelihood that he is struggling to cope with something and has done the all too macho male thing of self-medicating in an irresponsible fashion. We've seen this kind of pattern in RL all too often, the pressure gets to blokes, or they have other stressors in their lives, and they implode in some way rather than reaching out for help, the most acute example of this pattern in recent memory being Paul Green, but there are many cases that are less acute and essentially completely unknown by the public.

One of the reasons most of this stuff is unknown is because of the way the general public comes crashing down on them when they stuff up. Certainly sometimes it is just sheer stupidity, but for every time it is, there is going to be at least 1 other case where it is someone who isn't coping well, and when that is the case, they are even less inclined to seek the proper help after copping it from all sides from people who wouldn't know them from a bar of soap.

Everyone is going through And he has access to more support than most people in Australia. Have you got any more excuses for drink and drug driving? He can go a step further and put his own kid in the car like Sam Burgess, what a great human

These guys are purified stupidity in human form. I can understand that someone with dui's or disqualified licences might risk driving (still pure stupidity) if they're too broke to spring for a pickup srrvice. But a footy player that can easily afford a taxi or uber is taking pointless risks. Couple that with drug use and it's possible this dipshit has thrown away a decent chunk of his career.

Mid range is no mistake. It's deliberate driving whilst tanked.

Made worse that he was already suspended.

At a minimum:
- Alcohol Interlock Device required.
- 6 month licence suspension.

Sharks have acted fast and not sugar coated it. Stood down from both games and training until court and samples are returned.

Imagine if our players did this. Harsh penalties, negative press oh wait that already happens. Would just be amplified x 10
