I have information both the Titans and Manly are being heavily watched.
Manly is being looked at for a recent deal with Watmouth where the amount of money was huge.

The big one is the Titans though - expect an NRL announcement in the next fortnight at the latest.
They wont be hit as heavily as Melbourne but a press conference will be held and there will be a few interesting things said.

What about ****ing Dragons and Parramatta?

They are untouchables by the NRL because they want them to win the comp, but both are so far over the cap, they'd make Melb look like they breached by a small amount.

I would say the majority of the NRL teams are over the cap but I dont belive by too much. $4.1 Mil does not go along way in todays market. To sign a marquee players who really knows how much they get. What did you think we did to sign moneybill?????

3 players each on $400,000 = $1.2 Mil. That = 29% of the cap then you still have to sign 22 more players.

EG: Parrascum annual payments (My opionion)

Hayne - $500,000
Hindmarsh - $400,000
Mortimer - $250,000
Cayless - $250,000
Burt - $150,000
Groth - $200,000
Tahu - $350,000
Poore - $300,000
Moimoi - $300,000
Inu - $300,000
Mateo - $250,000

Total for these 11 players = $3,250,000 that leaves $950,000 for the remaining 14 players = $67,000 each the likes of Keatings, Mannah,Reddy,Smith etc....

You forgot Shane Shackleton for $300,000 ... Reddy would be on at least $150k I reckon.

So $650,000 for remaining 14 players.

Theres absolutely no way they are under or over by a bit.

There are a lot of big names there, but you have to remember there are also a lot of unsigned players for 2011... if Parra can keep their 2010 side in 2011, then it will be obvious they over the cap.

The likes of Keating, Mateo, Inu etc. wil all have to go and that's even with Cayless retiring, as the Eels are probably sitting right on or just over at the moment.

What you have to remember is that quite a few of their current players who are off contract at end of this season or end of 2011 had deals negoiatated before the Parra resurgance, which means they be on under what they should be getting at market value now... expect a load of players though to have to be let go over next few seasons at the Eels, they can't keep them all, not with re-signing Mortimer, Mannah etc and then also having to keep Hayne on the books.

Just an F.Y.I

Grothe is on closer to 300k
Poore is on 400k
Burt was on 200k+
Cayless is on at least 300k
Throw in Shackleton, 200k at least
Reddy, Keating Bros, should be on something decent.

mortimer wont be on much now because his deal starts next year but of that money some could be legitimate 3rd party deals
