Lol um once again I'm not comparing him to Reynolds. I said he has defence issues which he does.

Angry little thing aren't you
I don't think a guy who made 45 plus tackles at hooker in a grand final has defensive issues. His tackling technique is superb, If he is struggling defensively then it is only because he is being shifted from position to position and he hasn't been allowed to settle into any sort of rhythm defensively

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one otherwise we will be arguing the point all night

Reality check. At the moment we are not a top eight side and if we keep performing like this we have no chance of making the top eight. We have the one of the worst spines in the comp at the moment and just don't look like scoring enough points to win a game. Until Brett Morris comes back we are devoid of points. It doesn't matter who we play in the half/five eight position Mbye, Reynolds or Hodgkinson they all have major deficiencies and don't come close to what other teams can field. Des has turned Lichaa into a tackling machine and taken his running game out of play.
Hodgkinson had a better 2nd half tonight after his usual crap that he produced in the first half. Mbye had a poor 2nd half and is no superstar in the making. We had a decent half back play against us today in NSW Cup, Cornish, who is off contract we should buy him.
We played 60 mins of average football tonight and backed it up with 10 mins at the end of each half of crap. Two decent halves should have taken charge in the final 10 mins and directed us around to win, we don't have them but the Cowboys do.

We played decent in patches... just can't seem to put an 80 minute performance together (f**k I'd settle for a solid 60 minute performance atm).

Positives for tonight:

- Rona had a good game against his old club. Showed decent pace to score his try. Ran for 152m.
- Klemmer started for the first time ever. Ran for 178m (more than Scott and Tamou). 28 tackles, 0 missed tackles.
- Hodko had a good second half. set up a couple of tries and made a couple of big plays in defence to get us the ball back.

Not sure if this is a negative or positive considering what Lichaa has said in the media this week about his amount of defence hindering his attack; but Lichaa made 62 tackles and had 1 missed tackle.

** these stats are from nrl.com so I have no idea how accurate they are.

Our attacking line looks like a defensive line we are that shallow.

They had a Manly game from 1995 on at the gym the other day where Manly were attacking from 15 metres out, and their winger was dead set on the half way line they were that deep

They only lost 3 games that year they were a very good side

Lichaa is actually a pretty smart attacking player and runner of the ball but when you have to pick up the slack and tackle your butt off with excess of 40 tackles per game (some weeks 50 +) with next to no misses, you don't have much petrol left in the tank to set up or participate in attacking plays.
Would love to see him get a bit more of a chance to do some attacking.

Seriously, how uninspiring is our style of play? How long will the Moron who is coaching our club continue with this same negative, possession orientated, chicken sh*t, safety first, scared sh*tless style of football. ITS NOT FARKEN WORKING, WAKE THE F*** UP!
Stop reading your own press, stop thinking that you are somehow ahead of the curve tactically. You're over thinking this, this game is a simple one. You have a squad full of monster forwards and yet it is evident to everyone who watches us play that we are trying to play around sides? WTF! Every one is crying out for the Bulldogs to play direct and with some depth and yet we play sideways and flat.
Are you doing this deliberately? Are you still butthurt about 95 and trying to sabotage this club from within? Nobody understands you tactically except you and that's the scary part.

Run hard, tackle hard, support the ball carrier in attack, defend your goal line with intensity and pride and most importantly play what's in front of you. Structure should only be the foundation of your attack, the ability to play 'off the cuff' should not be cancelled out by your structure. It's a simple game stop trying to complicate it.

Finally a smart post.

Wow, you are seriously upset mate.

Des's game plan might be frustrating the hell out of us, but he is still the best coach in the recent history and his record is a proof of that.

Our depth is ordinary, if you saw what ran around in NSW Cup today we have very little in depth. With Lafai out and Bmoz out we don't have many points in us. Graham is irreplaceable and Browne is a mistake ridden interchange at best and Kafusi should be playing in Ron Massey comp. Unfortunately 2 likely replacements Loko and Ese'ese had their troubles off the field

The thing about that is we still cant play without dropping the ball even though our whole play style is structured around completing sets. Worrying signs ahead

We made an average of 5 metres a hitup. We have no go forward.

Part of that was Lichaa's slow service from dummy half (pick up the ball, look around, then pass) and part was the forwards (catch the ball then run straight back into the markers). That cost us a fair amount.

We have no go forward cause we are lazy the only person that looked like trying was Thompson

Just watched the press conference. Nothing really confidence inspiring.

I would feel so much better if Des looked upset or angry or something. Pretty much says the same thing every week yet we keep dishing up the same shit every week

He is far from the best coach out there. Tactically, according to what I have seen from him since he has been at our club, he is one of the worst coaches in the comp. Sometimes they say that certain coaches in rugby league are more 'managers of men' than tacticians, and if that it is his appeal then his 'winning' personality (no pun intended) is not getting the job done.
When he came to our club we were a team on the up, we missed the finals in 2010 but only missed out on playing finals footy in 2011 because of for and against. It's not like he inherited a complete basket case. He didn't spend anytime with us in the ore season in 2012 and we won the minor premiership and made a grand final. The three seasons we have had him at the helm where he was in control of our pre seasons we have looked under done and uninterested. 2013, 2014,2015 we have not looked like "The Bulldogs", everyone here who has supported this team for a long time knows what I mean by the "The Bulldogs". I say Dymock is our only hope of returning the reputation of this club back to what it once was. Send this pretender packing.

Here's a thought, maybe if they weren't so scared of losing the ball they might actually start holding onto it. The best footy we have played this year has been the times when we have behind on the scoreboard and thrown his gameplan out the window. That's not a coincidence.
