Nasheed here,
Would have not put a winger on the bench.
Nasheed.
Either Wakeham or Katoa will be.Does Pay go with experience or with a definitive half?

Harper has signed with Manly?

Has Wakeham been re-signed? If so, why da faq dont they play him? If no, fair call not playing him
Wakeham was reported to be re-signing a week or so ago. Nothing official and he's been dropped since. Smoke, fire, etc.

Pay likes Lewis for his defence and left foot kick and feels that with Foran on the field that Lewis doesn’t have to organise as much.
Wakeham is obviously the better organiser but defence and long kick game aren’t as strong.
Six of one ......... coach’s call...

To compliment Foran you do need someone with a big boot. That and Lewis' in theory is good defensively and more experienced is probably why he's there.

And to win more football games you need halfback that actually knows how to pass a ball. It's a shit reason and it's why Pay will never eventuate into anything as a coach.

Is this even confirmed? It’s not on the Beagles website (Suli is) and the Silvertails forum is just chat like the Kennel is and the only other reference is the Terrorgraph lumped in with a story about Reynolds and Goodwin. I’m not fussed either way but right now it remains a rumour?
Would the club actually promote a player to first grade if he has been shown the door at season end.
That seems a bit weird to be honest.

Lewis’ kicking display on the weekend was exceptional and was pivotal to our dominance in field position and pressure we built on them.

We’ve won 4 out of 5 games since the Foran/Lewis re-formed and its a no brainer to persist with it.

Not saying it’s a long term solution but results have so far proven it’s our best halves pairing for the time being.

Yeah - the main reason I was asking...

Guys, Lewis is not a Centre or Lock put that to bed

He’s barely a 6/7 FFS but if he plays he plays in halves nowhere else
Build him up, maybe a few kegs, watch videos on travis norton and the likes.. be patient for a year and he'll make a good no13.
Will need to absolutely overhaul his game.
I stand solid by this.

Mate not arguing with you just genuinely want to know what you thought about Lewis passing and the bombed tries? I can’t speak for all others and not trying to slam the bloke for no reason but he is clearly the reason we don’t score more points at times.
P.S I went dogs 13+ on Monday.

Foran is the major factor rather then his partner. Lewis has had the bulk of the games when Foran has been fit so it’s premature to crown it the best halves pairing when Cogger has only played 3 games and Wakeham 0 with Foran.

His passing game needs a bit of work particularly right to left but I’m happy to put that down to a bit of rust for now. When we got on a roll at the end of last year he linked well with his outside men through the hands. But I agree completely it needs to improve.

Overall he’s got more aspects of his game firing than the blokes in waiting, and the combination with Foran has been a fruitful one so there’s no reason not to persist with it.

Great little earner the 13+, well done mate.

Lewis has literally been given every advantage possible over other options, laughable if you think otherwise.

You do when they’re going at a winning strike rate of 80% in a team that’s going at under 40% for the past 2 seasons.

We need a reliable dominant long kicker to partner Foran and that of Wakeham and Cogger is much inferior to that of Lewis.

Cogger and Wakeham have both had a good few cracks and if we’re being fair dinkum they’ve both been mediocre.
