How the fuck is this a professional sport there was 2 knock ons by Warriors tryong to gather a lose offload by Bulldog in one play with 2 minutes to go, sideline ref leaning in for a look 2 metres away and they call play on 4th tackle.

Black n white rules of a decoy runner raking out Mahoney in the defensive line. The referee set the ptb speed very deliberately for Warrior no matter the tackle type.

I'm glad you aren't the only one who saw this. Commentators and NRL alumni will remain silent because they need the NRL to have a strong following in NZ

I think we played well considering. Fkn tough game when you get poor calls all game and we only lost if a try which even Annesley will say was a mistake. Other wise the whole obstruction rule needs to be changed

If they have any ambition for Karl to be a (semi) game-controlling half then they need to have him doing that in reserve grade (including kicks for touch, etc)

The only other option is for Burton to become the game controller from 7 - he kind of does now anyway from 6 (with, let's face it, a very big assist from Mahoney), and KO coming in as a running 6.

Either way, while Flanagan has been adequate in the first few rounds, I think today showed he just isn't going to make any appreciable improvement to his game over what he offers right now (which is not that much).
