I know we won't get an announcement until Tuesday but I'm really intrigued to see if Lafai makes a return. Anyone know if he pulled up okay after last week?

Surely Des will put him in first grade if he's fit? Please Des.

Same 1-17 bro. BUT if Lafai comes in its for Brown or Thompson, most likely Thompson.

I'd like him in for Thompson with Stanley moved to the wing

Thompson won't get dropped.

Lafai will play in NSW Cup for a few weeks to get match fit/ready.

Des will not change a winning formula.

IF Brown is injured:
1. Perrett
2. Lafai
3. Morris
4. Stanley
5. Thompson

Mr i, I dont think lafai will ever be moved to the wing. He is an out an out centre, cant c him playing wing at all. Plus stanleys bad error in sharks last try will have panthers licking their pansy lips if hes named on the wing. Gosh i wish inu was not injured.

Spot on lafai is a center dunno why people on here have called for him to play on the wing it would have happened last year if it was ever going to.
If lafai is ready and brown is fit thompson or stanley will go most likely thompson. I can see why des rates brown dunno why so many hate him, Solid d, Big leap thats been paying off, Strong and consistant, Extremely underrated.

I hope Des doesn't get too carried away with this most recent formula, as it was a third-rate Cronulla side we beat.

Thompson hasn't done anything that makes me think he should be in instead of Lafai. Nor has Stanley or Brown for that matter.

Des must bring back lafai and Im sure he will...surely. Cronulla were terrible last night they looked like a wooden spoon team. I'm not taking anything from it beside the 2 points

I know it was a second rate side but Stanley's stats compared to Morris:

Stanley:

touches = 11
line breaks = 2
tries = 2
tackles = 12
missed tackles = 1 (while on the wing)
Runs = 8 for 74m
offloads = 2
tackle busts = 3

Morris:

touches = 15
line breaks = 1
tries = 1
tackles = 8
missed tackles = 0
Runs = 10 for 77m
offloads = 1
tackle busts = 5

Mitch brown is out with a ankle injury. I thought he had a solid game though so definitely didn't deserve to be dropped.

Not too sure how we can replace a winger with Lafai though unless we push Stanley to wing.

Get Lafai back in. If Brown out, push Stanley to wing. If Brown in, Stanley to drop out. Stanley has gone alright but Lafai knows our game better.

They're good stats, but while watching the games Stanely doesn't look as fast, strong or as threatening as Lafai.

Stanely was put into some good gaps for his two tries, but Lafai would have had a field day against that Cronulla defence as well IMO.

I think it's tough to drop a guy that scored a double. Probably not what Hasler would do. But in saying that he definitely rates Lafai, after the 4 year contract and dropping inu for lafai in the semis last year.

I just think if we lost a winger we should get a specialist winger to replace them (not that we have plenty of quality wing options available though)

Lafai will be in. He had a broken hand so he still would have been doing running work while out. 1 game is enough to shake out cobwebs.
Low is also back so at least we have more options now

We really have to take a hard look at Tony Williams. He needs to get back, and run onto the Far King Ball, hard. He is virtually getting the ball standing still. We need to send him back to the Reggies where he can really take stock of his future, and come back bigger and better.

On a positive note, his defense is solid.
