Bulldogs second-rower Tony Williams is no chance of making it back early from a hamstring issue, with Lloyd Perrett and Tyrone Phillips to miss out after being named in extended line-up named on Tuesday.

Darcy Maroske promoted to NSW Cup this week (unsure who for).

If bmoz is out
Put Rona back to wing and bring

Our Intrust side plays at Belmore this Saturday against the Knights in an extremely crucial game that will just about decide our fate in this years competition. Unfortunately we have the same referee who a few weeks ago made one of the most disgraceful decisions of all times in denying Matt Frawley a fair try that would have taken us to the lead. We had stayed in the contest after the Tigers led at half time and momentum was swinging our way. Somehow, although he was directly in front of the incident he missed Frawley grounding the ball in the in goal, something that was clear to even our eyes from the stands. Our game was gone after a massive goal line drop out that saw possession change hands in our half after our set of six. Tigers scored and game was gone. Damian Briscoe, remember the name because with that decision he has probably ensured he will be a first grade referee within a few years time. I will be going to the game as I will be in Sydney after the Friday night event and I shall certainly let him know ( in a nice way) that he got it very wrong the last time he refereed a game involving us. For any of you that can go get out there and give the boys your support. The game is also being broadcast live on Steele Sports Radio.

Knights had to play a catch up game tonight and got dusted by Manly 28-10. We'll beat them surely. Their side is horrendous on paper.

Chanel Mata'utia, Akuila Uate, Jaleen Feeney, Will Pearsell are about their only danger men.

You know what was even worse? Apparently happened in our little "opposed" session last week prior to the game.

We can be rocks or we can be diamonds in Intrust. If the boys truly still want to be a chance for finals footy, the game is a must win for us. It is really a game where we have no excuses: Newcastle is terrible, game is played at Belmore, we are still mathematically alive in the race for the semis, only downside is the officials.

Interestingly Newcastle were the premiers last year with this side:

Knights: 1. Jake Mamo 2. Honeti Tuha 3. Kerrod Holland 4. Joseph Tapine 5. Ken Tofilau 6. Carlos Tuimavave 7. Jaelen Feeney 8. Damian Sironen 9. Danny Kerr 10. Sam Mataora 11. Lachlan Fitzgibbon 12. Jacob Saifiti 13. Clint Newton

Interchange: 14. George Ndaira 15. Marvin Filipo 16. Michael Steele 17. Josh King 27. Tama Koopu

Of course their side tomorrow bears no resemblance to that one with them having moved players on, retirements and players called up to first grade. The only members of that team left Feeney, Koopu, Steele.
