Round 17 Team Announcement
29/06/2010 3:30:43 PM
Hooker Joel Romelo has been selected in place of NSW State of Origin representative Michael Ennis in an otherwise unchanged Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs side to play the Cronulla Sharks on Saturday night at Bluetongue Stadium.

Bulldogs head coach Kevin Moore has stuck with the side that triumphed 18-10 over Canberra on Monday night, including winger Steve Turner who remains in doubt after suffering an elbow injury against the Raiders.

Turner is awaiting results of scans on the injury, with a decision on his availability to be made later in the week.

“With a short turnaround into the Sharks game continuity is important, particularly given the result down in Canberra,” Moore said.

“I was particularly impressed with the way the team stood tall and stuck together in defence during the second half of the match, and as a result we’ve decided to stick with the players who got the job done.”

The Bulldogs team to take on the Sharks at 7.30pm Saturday night at Bluetongue Stadium, Gosford is:

Halatau played his first decent NSW Cup game last week.

Until he can reproduce that form he won't push for a first grade spot.

If Jake Foster wasn't injured Warbs would be warming the bench in NSW Cup.

However why not choose Browne over Warbs? Better in defence AND can break the line with pace and offloads.

WHO is making the Pain Train banner????

Oh and Turner will not play.

Hmmmmm with kick off at 7:30pm, and NSW Cup @ Crest at 3PM Kick Off... thats gonna be cutting it fine .... :\ hmmmm

will be a danger game for us... We have a 5 day turnaround as opposed to the Sharks 7...
last few weeks the sharks have shown real grit and hunger....
We will need to be on for 80 mins agianst sharks..or they WILL beat us...they have size & speed to burn...

Sharks have no Barrett, Gallen or Snowden so we should win by 20.

Armit, Gordon or Halatau should be on the bench for both Green and Warburton

even though the sharks have players out i am not that confident. still need a few solid wins to get the confidence back. we barely hung on last night, but it was a good effort defensively. hopefully they go in with that gritty attitude again.
