Just like they signed Ray Moujali and Antonio Kaufusi 'for experience and depth'. Will support him while he wears a Dog's jersey, hope he goes alright for us but honestly if this is the best recruitment can do...........
I think this will be a similar style signing to Kaufusi... 1 year and that's it.

There is an article on Bulldogs.com.au with New coach Georgallis saying that the squad is young and 7/13 of the nominated squad are below 21.

We cut a lot of players from the 2016 Intrust squad ( admittedly some dead wood)and I was surprised at their ages.....

Richard Coorey (released) aged 23??, Makahesi Makatoa (Raiders)aged 24, Jarrod McInally (Queensland Intrust Super Cup) aged 26, Graham Clark (released) aged 25 , Jake Kamire (released)aged 22, Reubenn Rennie aged 22(released), Lamar Liolevave (released) aged 21, Lloyd Perrett (Sea Eagles)aged 22.

Even though this guy hasn't played first grade I have seen him play against first graders when playing for png and he deserved a run ages ago il be excited to see if des uses him off the bench I reckon he can do good very strong runner and gave players trouble. Way better then Antonio kaifusi and our 29+ year old players who are forwards besides graham lol

I remember him tearing shit up in the Intrust Super Cup finals a few years back. He's a midfield mobile prop.

If I could compare him to anyone.. Mickey Paea would probably be close (in my opinion).

Yeah the older guys would be on stuff all coin, and work with the younger breed of forwards coming through (Taulau, Martin, Miller, Fine, RFM, etc etc) as well as the NYC guys.

We also might be saving our coin for a big play at a named player.
Saving our coin???? For 2018? Griffins contract means squat in 2018 so no savings was needed....

I doubt we'll sign anyone for 2017

Looks like a Luke Young moment. Things will get bad, very bad before they get better.

I look at his signing this way. He'll either go well for us when called up to the nrl, or he'll be shit and never get called up. Like every player that we sign it's up to him to play well enough to force himself into the top squad.

Atleast he doesn't stop......he has to be stopped!
Decent pace, good footwork, offloads that hit the mark and as you said he keeps working for that extra metre even when he's got four defenders trying to bring him down. If he can replicate that at NRL level I think he might make a name for himself.

i can understand having a few hard heads in reserve grade, this is where the young kids learn from.
if we are seriuos then our 20's players should be playing reserve grade against the men and learning from these guys.
Yeah... Then the nrl can take drastic action cos were not playing nominated players in their glorified touch footy comp...;)
Absolutely agree playing against men is the only way to go...

I think if world sports are teaching us anything at the moment, its don't write off blokes just cos they hit 30...
