Did anyone watch the N.S.W Cup game? Lett is easily the fastest player at the club.

OPTIONS:

Wright - snowballs chance in hell. In latest NSW Cup game he was terrible. Dropped the ball over the line bombing a try, and dropped it from a simple hitup like 20m out from our try line. Tomake matters worse half the time was missing in action in defence and let a try in. To top it off aside from these things he did NOTHING all game.

Roberts - Not likely. He's never played a game at centre and there are better options than him.

Lafai - Too young. Is still playing in NYC, and yet to make the step to NSW Cup (more on this in a second).

Lett - A shoe in. Was backing up and looking for holes all NSW Cup game. Made a massive break, saved a certain try on the tryline with brilliant scrambling defence, can take a high ball easily, is very fast and has great foot work, and can find the line with little room to move.

Cutler - A rank outsider but possible to play on wing and Bryson at centre. Has torn it up all last year in NSW Cup as the top try scorer (alongside Lett). Started off this year in brilliant form, and backs the player up. HOWEVER as captain in NSW Cup he is unlikely to be promoted.

Rauicava - Still has minor defensive issues.

Junior Tia-Kilifi - Has major defensive issues, can't hold a ball, and all too often moves off his wing.

IMHO: Lett will go to first grade, with Nanai to wing, and Lafai to bench in NSW Cup.

I'm guessing you mean Nanai to wing in NSW Cup. Of course he wont be in fg, and who is he replacing if so?

You are right about Lett. He will be the one.

Yeah Nanai is named this week (back from injury) on the bench for NSW Cup. But Lett will end up promoted to first grade, and Nanai will start on wing in NSW Cup. Lafai most likely to step up on the bench for NSW Cup.

Moore was watching the game on Saturday night, and there is no way you could pick anyone else.

And lets face it, we want Lett in the team asap. There are 1000 banners you can make with his name.

Thanks for that Mr Invisible now I have a better insight into these back up players. If Lett is as good as you say he is put him straight into centre, Roberts to remain on bench.

It has to be Wright or Lett....both quality players playing in reserve grade. If either has top form while Morris is out i think Idris would make way to the second row when Morris comes back.
Highly unlikely.... We have a lot of depth in our backrow unlike last year, unless some sort of big time injury crisis... Thats why we have Eastwood, Pritchard, Foster, Stagg, Ryan, Millington, Payne... and the rest...

KMoore's focus is to keep Jamal in the centres, where he is more devastating out wide....... but you never know what the future brings....

its awesome how we now have competition in our backs aswell pushing for a spot when we have an injury hit us (Morris), and making no walk in spots for anyone...

Umm yes and no..

In NSW Cup this weekend he was wearing No 2 and played most of the game there, but in the last 20-30 minutes swapped with Cutler. Cutler went to the wing, and Lett dropped back to fullback.

what is the about Roberts?? he is not a centre and it would be a embarrasment to Wright and Lett.
Lett is playing wing in reserve grade so it would be hard to promote him above Wright.
the smokey is Lafai, he looked sensational in the trials actually and someone on here last night said he was in?

That's what i want to know. Bit premature if you ask me..

Wright had a pretty awful game in Reserves over the weekend. I think Moore will choose Roberts but i would like to see Lett have his chance.

When does Moore have to name a replacement? Surely soon?
