Man. Latin mass is just heavenly. Put simply. The mystery is there, the reverence is of upmost importance, no guitars and clapping, incense overdose, women dressed appropriately, priests not making it a Hillsong event. Give it a go when you can. I occasionally go to a FSSP church.

Agree bro. Prayer and silence are things a lot of us need to start doing again me included obviously lol. @dogwhisperer mentioned this correctly before that unfortunately some clergymen have started to use the Latin mass for prideful reasons and not for the glory of God. This is why pope Francis while I don’t agree completely with his approach is making it hard for the Latin mass to be practised now.

Catholic values are fine. But apparently they were teaching that watching Porn puts holes in your brain. Could you imagine how many holes half the Kennel would have? They'd be more holey than Swiss cheese.

Look there’s plenty of data that suggests porn is extremely detrimental to the mind of young boys and even girls. Addiction can happen from such a young age, and I’m really confused with the left on this, it’s not like porn puts respectful images of females in their minds, they’re just objects and are seen and programmed to think they’re just sex objects. I really don’t see how teaching children porn is bad is bad. Whether their wording is off (holes in brains) lol the point is still the same. It will mess your head up for a lot of boys especially.

Aye to be fair, what’s worse. A kid too scared to look at porn because he thinks he’ll get holes in his brain, or a kid that looks at porn gets addicted and everything that comes with said addiction.

I mean there was an article somewhere in Murcia I beiieve, where a husband was going to be jailed or lose any rights to his son, because the ex wife wants him to transition who has been telling him from a young age being a boy is wrong and a monster will come and kill boys.

What church you go to?

St Hurmizd Cathedral in Greenfield Park (Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East) which is my Mums side.

But I was Baptized in the Ancient Church of the East (Orthodox) and my father was Orthodox.

My Current Church is Christ the Good Shepherd in Wakeley (Bishop Mari, the famous one lol) which I do most of my Bible studies at.

But Catholic/Orthodox doesn't matter to me as long as it is Apostolic and traditional Assyrian/Aramaic.

But im also a regular(ish) at Our Lady and St Charbels.

He doesn’t want to outright ban it, but potentially restrict some parishes because as mentioned it is being used a political tool instead of glory for God and causing unnecessary division amongst Catholics. There are some who tell Catholics not to even receive communion at norvus ordo masses and only Latin mass. That is absolutely terrible advice and breeds schismatic and divisible attitudes.

It isn’t, they’re trying to use it as one by claiming it’s the true and only licit liturgy and everyone who goes to norvus ordo are almost fake Catholics participating in an illicit liturgy. This is used as power moves within the church. It’s pride.

Yep, Fr Benton is an absolute champion! St Michaels in Belfield is just an amazing place. Love that parish.

I'm like you, I feel the connection mostly in the Maronite church. There's just something special about it. I truly believe what makes it so special is because it's not western, It's Eastern, so we have that close connection with Orthodox Christians but at the same time maintain our full communion with Rome and faithful to it's teachings. Even Melkites have that connection between east and west.

P.S How good is confession? You feel like you're walking on air when you come out of the confessional.

That is one fine set of blinkers you wear, they must fit well to narrow your vision so much.

You know what @GODofWAR, I always stay in my lane. I focus on my parish which has fed me my spiritual food and fulfilled my hunger for the word of God and the sacraments, I focus on my family(wife, Kids & Parents) & close friends and I focus on my work. I enjoy all the simple things life has to offer and I do my best to respect whoever crosses my path. I don't worry too much about the things out of my control, including the Vatican.

Which brings me to the great serenity prayer:

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."
