I personally dont see how we win without him tbh. We need him more than ever and this completely fucked it for us
Rubbish talk bro sounds like something a Themly fan would say but for Turbo we can get the job done still just need to sort out the middle

And why does a a guy earning half a mill a year drive a Corolla?
Not unheard of. I once knew a guy (dead now) who owned 9 pubs. Seasonally he wore trackies or shorts most days (jeans were ‘dressing up’) and drove a Hyundai (quote ‘A flash car is a waste of money, my car gets me where I need to be’). If you walked past him in the street you’d never think he had more money than the King yet was absolutely loaded. He gave away a fair bit but in the end died at 59 and couldn’t take it with him so maybe that flash car wasn’t a bad idea…

Are there

Has the time he left to get the charger been clarified somewhere?
I originally heard it was at half-time.
People may need to go and get chargers. But deciding to do that at half time seemed a bit odd.
An as half time was 8:30 or 9 and I thought he left the police testing ast 10:30, it seemed like a long time to get from the VIP area in Accor to Wentworth Point, even allowing time for the cops to conduct the tests?

From the start Gus said that he left the hotel to find a convenience store and was stopped and tested around 10:45pm. If you believe this, it’s well after when halftime of an 8pm kickoff game would be. I have no idea where this supposed left at halftime crap came from. Based on the facts we know (info from NSW police) he was tested around 10:45pm so h9w tf did it take over an hour to get to a few km down the road?!

Didn't give me any..

Rats. One of my kids has pinched my charger.
Could someone lend me one please?
It's an iPhone 15.

A drug cheat? As far as I’m aware Cocaine isn’t considered a performance enhancing drug, so how would he be a drug cheat?

Standing down or not, the damage has been done. You can’t unbake the cake, that’s why I don’t swallow the “standing down to take the focus off the team” excuse.
Coke would be considered a performance enhancer.
Trouble is in a game of RL you would have to have about 10 hits a game seeing how short lived the pump and high is.
If the NRL was fair dinkum they would test the ' water ' bottles of trainers.
Ive seen some players in need of an iron lung and completely gassed but come to life after a mouthful of whatever is in
a certain coloured bottle.

No we need yardage. Fox was zero loss this season.

Guess we’ll see Sundee

Far from a Themly fan bro, it’s just frustrating this whole fiasco happpened when we make finals.

I hope our boys fuckin destroy the living shit out of them and make a statement

I understand your concerns bro,it’s far from ideal but we move on always has been a strong club we will bounce back we just need to pack the fuck out of Accor

Good debating.
Can't debate with someone who essentially is saying the exact same thing.

I was clarifying that Josh did not admit guilt by not playing as some say and that it was primarily Gus who encouraged Fox to make that decision.

Gus, Adam and the Board liased, presented the 2 alternatives to Josh of where this could go. Decided we can't legally stand him down bc of player contract terms or he needed to stand down.

Josh chose to stand down under Gus' guidance and that is the info presented to the public and what we need to accept. People saying he is guilty bc he decided not to play are off the mark. Our club felt it was best he stand down so they presented the 2 alternatives and Josh agreed that was best bc they all knew what the media frenzy would be like for the rest of the guys.

At all times Gus and the Club had control of what the playing outcome was for Josh. If they wanted him to play. He would be. They didn't think it was appropriate bc they wanted to put the teams preparation for this finals game above any other considerations...at this time till further details or the sample comes back.

Can only assume you've gone off on some tangent but let's get back to the actual game discussions :grinning:

Na we're still losing, just not because of no Fox.

What kind of charger mate? I’m guessing not usb-c like is common these days? Wtf do they keep changing chargers?! I have mostly usb-c devices, but sometimes need to find the apple one for an old ipad, or even a micro usb for some other thing. Drives me mad lol.

The team were staying in a hotel in Olympic Park. He went to the game at Accor with the team, or some team mates, and after returning to their hotel, he supposedly left to get a charger.
Ok thanks for that - iv read too much - can you clarify - iv read that the police were called away and couldnt complete the second test - so when did they do a second test?

8 minutes drive from the Pullman hotel, using the SatNav thing.
15 minutes walk.
I'm not alleging anything. Just interested in what might be some of the gaps in the story.
On the other side of the coin my hunch is the cops already know they have compromised the taking of the sample(s) and even if there is a positive result they will not be able to charge him.
There are too many evidentiary gaps.
