The team on paper is close to as good as we can do at the minute.

Apart from Thompson and maybe Schoupp for Hoppa making any other changes isn't going to bring much improvement.

Even Schoupp isn't a sure thing but with the way Hoppa is going I'd roll the dice.

We already have a centre that has no speed and no lateral movement and you want to replace him with a guy that has less speed and lateral movement and also who leads the NRL in tries caused per game..

We may as well open up a freeway down that edge..

I think we will see some changes this coming week due to injury (RFM) and possible suspension to DWZ.

I wouldn't mind seeing some experience come into the middle like Ava and maybe Doorey could bring the same energy, that he did last year. I think its time to blood Schoupp he actually looked solid in yesterdays CC game. Also I never thought I would do this, but Lewis is the next better option in the halves especially in D, Averillo is just out of his depth as is Wakeham, both of these kids need a bit more time to develop.

My thinking for this week would be :

Schoupp - as they wont move the slowest centre in the world.

Everyone says he good in defence. Just make him tackle and give basic passes to the winger who'll be your attacking threat or even have the half cut him out when attacking.

Centre is not just about tackling.. in fact the centre is the most crucial position in terms of reading the play in the modern game.. and as I said lewis leads the team in tries caused.. tries caused is generally as a result of a miss read in defence..

So yeah lewis can tackle but he's one of the worst defenders in the team...

FFS people....ok Hoppa's lateral move in defence at centre has been wanting first 2 games.

Yesterday the team ran 960 meters, Hopoate ran 151 of those meters.

Without Hoppa in the team somewhere we don't ever get out of our own half.

Agree but he shouldn’t be our centre. Who do we replace him with I hVe no clue hence the reason why he will play there all year. We are so thin in depth across the board it’s scary. We need another centre, 2 big bodies and a hooker to even compete by the looks of it.
I think I’d take anyone else but Napa, he needs to stay in reggies. The only reason I see him playing grade is to show other teams he isn’t as bad as we are trying to offload him early. Won’t happen if we drop him
