OFFICIAL | POST-GAME Rd 24| Bulldogs vs Dolphins | 3pm Saturday @ Bundaberg

Tapine, at 189 cm and 106 kgs, is the grand total of 1 Post Contact Metre per game behind AFB. As a comparison Josh Curran is 185/104 and King is 188/105.

Perhaps it's more to do with ability than simply size.

Totally agree, hence arguments that big forwards automatically equate to "slow, lumbering, fatiguing" etc are as silly as the small forwards = bad argument.

Interesting team lists, neither team has a traditional prop on the bench. Maybe Wayne is copying our small ball tactics.

I’m salivating at the matchup between both back lines, in particular the centre battle.

Averillo lines up against the dude who replaced him. Critta lines up against probably the next best centre currently in Farnworth.

Also, Mann to make Pangai his bitch lol.

I'm even more pissed about Salmon today, straight up nothing selection. He is literally obsolete with other players currently in the team already taking up his role. With Hayward/Mann there he isn't playing lock, Hayes covers the backrow/centres while also playing prop. He's just going to be there to take minutes off Preston which is completely unnecessary.

A bigger body will fatigue faster.

We are only a few months into the defence style that Ciraldo wants us to play, it's bit unrealistic to expect perfection. There will be slip ups, plus there are 16 sets of NRL coaching staff out there working on finding holes and plays that will expose them.

You’re right. Maybe too harsh, but Gus and Ciro going after big bodies like afb and the tigers guy is an admission we need a more balanced pack

Is it a dry track up there on Saturday?

If it is, we are putting on 40 like we did to the Gronkos

Ciro still playing favourites. This one will be harder to break than hutcho and perham as he is loved by Gus as well

We have a decent bench this week.
Hope CC uses it well. I'm worried Curran is going to burn out.
Anyone know when King returns.

king should be back next week.

I think if we're in a good position on the ladder we'll most likely rest a few players in the last game against the cowboys

They need to put on some good scores in the next few games to have any chance of finishing in the top 4. Whether we rest some players in the last game will come down to if losing the game changes what we are facing in the finals.

I think the game vs Sharks probably emphasised an area that needs an enhancement, Sharks have big, powerful forwards, they were making some big meters as the game wore on and we struggled getting out of territory, only Burton’s boot saved us that day, one more big bopper in the middle would help us out in this regard, but, we’ve managed well against bigger teams all season, I only question how long we can sustain it as taking on big units takes a toll on the body… so far, we’re coping extremely well!
