The reality is our defense will keep us in almost every game but our attack is really holding us back.
As much as I love his effort, a lot of the poor options we take in the opposition 20 are down to Mahoney misreading the play and opportunities out of dummy half. The other, which is inexcusable, is our lack of support play at times. I lost count how many breaks and half breaks we made with no one around to take advantage. Although I rate Tracey more highly, this is one area of the game Taafee has it all over him.

Not arguing with you but we have only scored 7 tries in 3 games and I'm pretty sure 80% of them were off kicks.

Questions need to be asked to the halves, JT and CC.

Maybe Gus needs to "offer some advice"...
Can’t comment on the other games bro only what I seen last night live, our attack looked pretty sharp in side the cows 20, they are setting up some good set plays but can’t execute because the cows OBs where way offside and in the line before a pass could be delivered, the reason we only scored of kicks last night was because it was the only option left to sexton once he had the ball in hand, and it was effective because all of the cows defenders where in our line before mahony released the ball, the Preston dropped ball was a perfect example if the cow’s defence was on side for that play he scores untouched. They were offside defending their line all night, I am not saying our attack doesn’t need work but it’s nowhere near as bad as it looks on television.

That was a game of inches and seconds. Hayward gets a finger or two more firmly on the ball and it’s a try or gets a knee to his head half a second earlier and it’s a penalty try. Burton kicks his two misses slightly straighter and we have four more points. Wilson puts his arm on the attacker half a second later and doesn’t get 10 in the bin. Preston hangs on to the ball and goes through the line to score. Kiraz holds onto the bomb or drops it but it bounces differently. I could go on…

I think our attacking plan was to kick more grubbers than usual because the Cowboys are pretty good at defusing bombs. Sexton executed those pretty well, it was his best game for a month I thought. I suspect Critta’s arm was also more busted than he let on and that’s why the sweep plays to his side didn’t work, he wasn’t able to do his fend and offload as effectively. And our forwards are finally starting to get exposed a bit, King is a massive loss (playing Patolo over Hopoi was a mistake).

Frustrating loss but thankfully other results (especially Dolphins blowing it against Panthers) keeps us in fifth.

Sutton threatening to put Mahoney on report because he was being questioned. My God has anyone seen a ref who acts like a big baby when he gets questioned? Dude you're an adult. The way he handled it was so unprofessional.
Meanwhile, Townsend and Drinkwater where in his face every fucking play and he was laughing and joking with the cahunts

Chris Patolo might be the softest player ever to put a jersey on for us. Doorey at least played a good debut and got over the line occasionally. Patolo has not played a single good game for us spanning over 4 years. Ridiculous and embarrassing decision to play him over Hopoi

This is a classic case of going up NO Try. If that was awarded a TRY it wouldn’t have been taken off them. Because they cannot 100% overturn the onfield referee decision.

If the referee has to go upstairs they shouldn’t need to say yes or no. If they go upstairs. They simply don’t know. The bunker should make their decision based on what they look at. Taking all control on the decision.
Get rid of this going upstairs with a ref making his decision of what he thinks, they are clearly going to the bunker because they don't know so let the bunker make the decision.

Ciro presser
He was filthy at the no call disruptor and not allowed to challenge that

He was also pissed off at knees to the head and no sin bin

Said the reason we took the 2 cos thought the cowboys guy was getting binned
Even more reason to NOT take the 2 if he thought there player was getting binned...you play on 13 on 12 not take the 2

I get that but 9 times out of 10 they just follow the on field refs decision rather then actually make a decision
His hands never left the ball and the second half never seen a team have 100% possession ever Sutton granted them in and invited them into score but we need to ice these goal kicks and the moments when we are in there 10 has to be done I must say sexton is playing as a real
Half back he is really good and Burton is setting up
Tries and running very well

We can do this !!!

Classic NRL clown show. The more we shine the spotlight on these bad decisions, the added pressure we put on the NRLOL. CC barely complains about the refs and for him to say something says it all. We need to back the club on this.

I believe the answer is simple, so far we have over achieved this year, we won most of our games on pure guts, and now when we need them the most our match winners are worn out or injured, Kicks is obviously injured, and no longer a game breaker. Critta IMHO is also worn out/injured. With King now out for a extended period we are gong to struggle even more, the fox if and when he is back and dosent get injured again, might be a bit of improvment on Wilson.
RL is not only the toughest game in the world, but also the most ruthless, bodies no matter how tough all have a breaking point, and most of our players are showing signs of late season fatigue.
We might still make the 8 but we won't last long.
