A great substitute for state of origin once and if the conference style premiership eventuates.
1) you would have the best players in the NON-NSW Conference (does not matter what country or state they represent traditionally)
VERSE THE BEST players in the NSW BASED CONFERENCE. (does not matter what country or state they represent traditionally).
This if able to squeeze in the middle of the season (best out of 3 games just like CURRENT STATE OF ORIGIN) Or can be 1 game in a bye week of both conferences.
2) Will instantly create a rivalry between the 2 conferences and a better standard of product THEN Current state of origin due to the inclusion of all registered players are eligible to play.
(Not just NSW & QLD)
3).This in on top of a grandfinal of the conference winners (which should be the best of 3 games).
This is to allow it to be a fair outcome as the 2 conferences might vary slightly in skill and pace.
So if 1 team loses they have an opportunity to win after they adjust.
No excuses for the loser.
4) so you will end up having:
Club team Winner in their conference.
Overall Club team as title holder of both conferences.
Then THE OVERALL Conference Winner as mentioned above (would be the best verse the best)
