1 Connor
2 Wilson
3 Critta
4 Kiraz
5 Skelton
6 Burton
7 Taafe
10 King
9 Mahoney
8 Faamausuli
11 Kikau
12 Curran
13 Hutchison
14 Salmon
15 Hughes
16 Mann

Skelton hasn’t played in NSW Cup the last two weeks. Critta is lazy & has only put in about ten productive minutes in each of the last two games. But then he is the Captain & on big bikkies. Even Burton is out performing him. Both obviously came to the Dogs for the money & a bludge.

How on earth do you still want Hutchinson anywhere in the 17 lol. Blokes usless
And Burton is 100 times better

Making changes won’t help..spine needs time to gel. Our attack looks a lot more dangerous than last year and we get good momentum. I think in time we will convert more opportunities and grow in confidence
I agree that time is needed to gel, also I respect the team's efforts but none the less I believe Taaffe looks and plays more like a halfback, Tracey would be a better fullback, Burton is more suitable and effective as a Centre, Hutchison has been performing well but too slow as a halfback, Sexton would be another better alternative than Hutchison.
Right or wrong it's only my opinion !

Look closely brother, he was involved in many of our tries, pity he lacks speed !

Like to see xerri on the left wing with chrichton n kikau on his inside - who better to learn how to defend on an edge with. Needs some power running from the backfield

Taffe has been improving every week, He has his best game and people want him dropped lmao ah the kennel
He comes across as a confidence player and is the type that will respond well if faith is shown to him

We likely are going to end up 1 and 5 based off the next two fixtures. The defence is there, but the halfback isn’t you can’t take down the top dogs without one. To top it of the refs are even worse this year.
That's so true. We have played well in batches but we have copped a lot of bad calls. Even worse we still have loads of plodders in the side.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Taafe at 7. He has a some speed and creativity and knows the position. One option would be to put Critta at 1, and let Hutcho play centre until Xerri or Clark can come up. We wouldn’t lose much in defence. But I can also live with Sexton getting another crack.

Hutch's major downfall is speed.
We used to refer to a guy as deceptively slow... cos he was even slower than what we thought.
Sadly, that's Hutch. Love his D; Love his kick; his footy IQ looks pretty good too.
Even if he makes a break, he gets hauled in within a few steps.
The only possibility is for quicker guys (eg., Taaffe) to back him up!! (Hutch can offload or kick ahead).
Gotta turn those half line breaks into proper breaks.

CC will more than likely pick this team to face the Roosters next round.

01. Blake Taaffe
02. Blake Wilson
03. Jacob Kiraz
04. Stephen Crichton
05. Connor Tracey
06. Matt Burton
07. Drew Hutchison
08. Max King
09. Reed Mahoney
10. Poasa Faamausili
11. Viliame Kikau
12. Kitione Kautoga
13. Jaeman Salmon

14. Kurt Mann
15. Samuel Hughes
16. Josh Curran
17. Liam Knight

Nowhere near enough points in that lineup to defeat the Roosters I think.
Souffs were shit and we still lost cannot see doggies defeating rorters!!!

There’s a night and day difference the only concern I have is heads dropping this draw is made to break us.

How’s that guy who had the stroke going?
He looks like a back up at best. Middles pecking order goes like this from best to worst: King, Curran, Hughes, Faamusili (when fit), Knight, Patolo and finally Zane Tetavano. Personally I reckon by mid season it'll be King and Hughes as our starting props moving forward. They seem to be just easing Hughes into the role slowly.

Critta needs to be at the back
Sexton needs to be at 7

Blind Freddy can see this.

We can't fault his efforts, unfortunately his lack of speed lets him down, for him 5/8 could be the solution or maybe 14.

We've shown this season that our defence can hold teams to around 20 points a game. While this is an improvement on last year it still means you've got to score a minimum of 4 tries to win a game.

Until Matt Burton finds his voice and starts demanding the ball and taking ownership of the team we will be mediocre. He's got all the skills and physicality to be as good or an even better 5/8 than Munster or Luai but he just needs to find some swagger and confidence.
Come on man......
Better than Munster?
Really?

Why? Coz he showed a purple patch for 5 mins of a game?

Munster has been good since his first game in the top league. Has hardly played a bad game.

Burton has played at least 4 years and we are still waiting for a full game performance.

I will probably be proven wrong but I have a feeling Ciraldo is ready to make some changes in terms of our attack, he sounded really frustrated in the presser and I think Hutchison butchering a certain try and shutting down our momentum a bunch of times might be the catalyst for a few changes.

I’m not sure he’s brave enough to do this, but:
- Taaffe to halfback. He has the skills, has played there before and offers something different. I don’t think Sexton has done anywhere near enough in NSW Cup.
- Tracey to fullback. Will make better metres on kick returns and can be pretty lethal in the red zone.
- Kiraz to wing, Xerri to centre and Wilson in for JAC. Xerri has been underwhelming in NSW Cup but give him a shot in FG and I reckon he’ll kill it.
- Forwards will be forced changes only, whichever way we go we’ll have a bunch of utilities and plodders but they have outperformed so far so they deserve to keep getting picked. Salmon should be dropped altogether but will get a reprieve due to injuries.
Im a bigger fan of Hutch in the halves than Burton and whilst i also feel CC is getting increasingly frustrated with the lack of playmaking from the halves, he'll probably swap Hutch first before he pulls the trigger on Burton.

But if it means we routinely score 4 or 5 tries per game, im all for it.

Hutch hasn't really done much. We should have won at least 2 or all 4 of our opening games not 1.

If he plays Hughes for any less minutes he might as well retire. Put him in the starting side he can’t be any worse than what we’ve seen so fat.
