Private Health Insurance Premium Rise Delayed

Just giving this it's own thread in case it gets drowned out in the Coronavirus thread, but the private health companies are going to delay raising the premiums of private health insurance by 6 months due to Covid-19 - just a touch of good news... and we need all the good news we can get right now.

I don't have private health insurance.

When I was in hospital & sharing a room, I said the lady next to me, you have private health insurance don't you.

She said yes how to you know, I said you have a better looking bed.

That was the only difference, she had the same op as me, same Dr, same shitty food.

Who cares. They should cease payments for six months. There is no elective surgery at present. I can’t see my dentist, so effectively I’m not claiming anything. You can’t even use it, payments should be put on hold till virus has passed

I just dumped my private health insurance. I’ve had 2 kids with IVF, a knee reconstruction, 2 hernias repaired, 2 arthroscopes, dislocated my AC and recently a broken shoulder, and have never got more than a couple hundred $ back from the *****.
Imagine if you car was insured, and you wrote it off and made a claim. Then a truck turns up with 3 wheels and an unpainted bumper? That’s private health cover.
